  The hosts don't spare on friendliness. Extra nice people, wow view, nice clean room. I did not sleep there myself, just took my friends there and spent some time. They rated the sleep 5 as well. Bit far away from the town center.

  It's a basic hostel. The reception was unfriendly and unhelpful. We got a flyer from a bar shoved in our hands and talk about happy hour of some bar in town (which we didn't ask for and were not interested in). We were expecting a twice a day shuttle, but we didn't hear or see any sign of it. The location is scenic, but far from Salento. We were hungry and when we asked to get to somewhere we could eat, the lady at the reception replied: At this hour?? (at 6 pm) That will be difficult. The bus is 1 km away and costs 1000 pesos. Later we realized she to forgot to tell us how often it comes (every 20 minutes, and the last one back from Salento is at ~21:00).
  
  The room doesn't have a door to the bathroom, so you have to be comfortable with doing #1 and #2 together with your partner. The shower is basic with plastic pipes from the wall.
  
  The breakfast was basic like any hostel, but the coffee was bad. How can you have bad coffee in the coffee region??
  
  The access to the river is nice. Altogether a very mediocre experience. I hope they will better their reception services in the future.
  
  We booked through Airbnb and expected a family farm or a finca. This is only a very business like hostel with no personal relations. We were disappointed and left to a much better house today nearer to Circasia.

  Beautiful old Finca in a stunning location, found it hard to leave this place. Teepee, hammocks, tasty bbqs, brilliant kitchen facilities and a little shop at reception for essentials. The perfect distance away from town to walk in easily but feel like your away from it all. Green pastures and Idyllic existence!

  Incredible place. I have travelled for a lot of years and forgotten a lot of ok guest houses but I won't forget El Mocambo. It gave me a lot more than a good bed, it gave me great memories! If you are a "traveller" as opposed to a "tourist" then check this place out!

  Excellent hostel in a very beautiful area. Stay here a few nights if you can. There's three different buildings with rooms, as well as places for tents and cars. There's also a natural pool. We arrived there pretty late in the evening and the hostel arranged a pick up for us from the highway.
  
  It's somewhat far away from Salento, you'll need to grab a bus or hitch a ride up the hill to get to the town. The hostel has a small shop where you can buy water, beer etc. Breakfast was included (7/16).
