Nice place to go hiking, level between 3 & 4 depending of the path you take, recommendation to go with a guide. The place is just perfect to take a break of the city cause is located in the woods, the water is perfect to do a little swim but it's not to wide, also the water could be very cold. Enjoy.

Wonderful place to hike, beautiful landscape. Not recommended for small kids or small dogs since the hike can be a little bit hard although it worths the effort.

It's a place very close to Envigado and it's really easy to get there. You can take the Metro up to Envigado station and then take a bus from there to Arenales. A 45 minute walk will take you here. This place is beautiful and very peaceful, you'll find surrounded by nature.

Great day hike. Beautiful waterfall and river. You will want good hiking shoes. Your feet will get wet. This can be a challenge if you're not in shape. But worth the effort.

This waterfall was a really cool place to relax on the rocks in the sun and go for a swim under the waterfall (even if the water was cold). My group did the waterfall repelling and that was pretty fun to do here. The jungle walk to get there was great too. Be prepared to get your feet soaked, we had to walk through the creek many times to get to the waterfall.

So close to the city, yet so wonderfully lush and natural. An amazing escape. I've done this hike a couple times and recommend starting from La Catedral, walking down past Salto del Angel (another waterfall!), to Chorro de las Campanas, then out at the Arenales bus stop and viewpoint. I've shared some tips on how to do the hike without a guide on my site, The Unconventional Route.
