Beiyu is a tiny little breakfast spot in the Getsemani area, just outside of the hostoric walled city. I appreciated that all of the items on the menu were healthy and locally sourced. We ordered very simple foods (eggs, toast, etc.) which was a welcome change from the touristy type of fare (pastries, etc) in the walled city. I would have come here daily if I had discovered it sooner!
Great service. Wonderful coffee and food!
This is the best deal in Getsemaní! My boyfriend and I came here two days in a row because the quality and prices and location were so great. Highly recommend ordering the açaí bowl ‘de la casa’ which allows you to order 3 toppings of your choice (and they give you a ton of each!). The açaí bowl is a pretty big portion size and with dried coconut, chia seeds, and cacao nibs, it really filled me up (and I can eat a lot). Awesome espresso drinks. Good quality cacao. For breakfast we both ordered eggs (he ordered huevos mix and I ordered omelette verde, which is spinach blended with eggs and cooked into an omelette, and I added a side of farm cheese for $0.50 extra). Every breakfast includes a fresh juice of the day, a choice of black coffee/cappuccino/hot chocolate, and whole grain bread with real butter and jam. None of the breakfasts cost more than $5 USDseriously insane prices by US standards and such good quality and taste, it really seemed too good to be true until we saw the bill. The staff are friendly and the restaurant itself is really cozy and cute if a bit cramped. They offer free/unlimited cold water, and also sell chocolate bars, cookies, and banana bread which we didn’t get to try but they looked delicious. If we are ever back in Cartagena we will definitely make our way back here!
Slow-food with delicious cooking, ingredients and receipe.
This place is incredible. Felt like a quiet and relaxing home away from home. Beautifully designed, healthy options, delicious and healthy homemade food and juices. Lots of interesting options. I highly recommend the omelette verde and the vegan salad! Things move slowly here, but it’s a wonderful atmosphere and worth the wait!
Delicious and healthy food in a cute coffee shop. The staff was friendly and the prices cheap.
Will definitely go again!!
OMG what a beautiful little cafe. They only have aprrox. 12 seats and people are queing outside. Thye use just fresh incredients and coffee is colombia like, just the best.
Awesome staff, amazing espresso! Tiny coffee shop with pastries. Cute!
Delicious food and smoothies!!! ladies are so friendly. Also they have amazing banana bread
Great litttle cafe that is part of the "slow food" movement. The fair trade coffee and chocolate, delicious and affordable breakfast options, sandwiches and wraps were all excellent.
Tiny little place with hardly any seating, but the food is delicious. I ordered a sandwich and a soursop juice. They sauteed the sandwich ingredients on order, and they were fresh and well balanced. The people there were very friendly and patient with my lack of Spanish.
Affordable and tasty food. Great juices. Slow but good service
