Great for hiking or to go on a tour bus through the park, and the views on the MetroCable on the way up and down the mountain are wonderful. However, there's not much to do except visiting the open-air market (food and souvenirs), otherwise. That said, it's worth the trip just for the views.
A park for everyone. Good access by road and cableway. You can taste regional meals and sweets. There are out of the public park two private parks with restaurants and attractions like canopy.
Beautiful park up the mountain outside Medellin. Nice ride by cable car. Free guided tours available.
The place for numerous activities. My best description would be Arvy Park is like Disney World, huge area with different attractions and parks, however in this park everything is natural and you do not have to make lines and there is very inexpensive. I enjoyed the canopy in Confama park and the hiking trails, orchids dome and the gondolas to access the park where the subtle buses take you to each park
A must see for all who visit the city. Easily the most amazing trip to get to the park if you take public transportation (metro to the cable metro and all the way up) - inexpensive too. The views are astonishing on the way up and down, and the park is beautiful. Highly recommend going to area 5 to see the small waterfalls and the river. Great place for a picnic as well. Plenty of amazing food vendors too!
Great place to escape the busy city life for a couple of hours.
Several hikes in beautiful nature. Maybe a bit tricky to find some trails - but once you’re there, you can enjoy beautiful nature and silence.
Highly recommended for a day trip or just to relax for a while.
You can only do one walk/trail by yourself, otherwise you have to pay for a guide and go on a tour. Doesn't cost much but not great if you just want to mooch about
The experience of getting there is equal if not greater than once you arrive. That being said, I have yet to discover an area on the mountainous, outskirts of Medellin that isn't beautiful. The ski-lift is unique.
After reading other reviews online I realize we may have missed a significant portion of this park.
Went early afternoon midweek and arrived in an empty park. With no one to follow, and speaking little to no Spanish we wandered the area surrounding the gondola station. With nothing catching our interest here, no interest in walking alongside a highway, and staff stopping us from trail hiking we rode the gondola back down.
Gondola ride was nice.
Wow, really peaceful and beautiful. Wonderful spot. It is administrated with professional care and the way it is set up was very well done. It's clean and educational. Since there are many tourists, I would recommend guided tours in other languages. The tram ride to and from the park is wonderful, too.
A long way for a very small Park. Actually almost all the mountain is private and you can go nowhere. A few walks are possible but partly along roads, you might want to take a mini-bus, but then where's the interest of being in the nature if you are in a bus. And you have to carry a "guide" with you along the way. There is a Laguna where you can walk to but you cannot swim. Basically all you can do is buy food in the small "local" market next to the funicular stop. Don't go there if you don't want to loose your time.
What a nice place. It's amazing how restored this natural area is. Super recommended. A must in Medellin
I was actually really. Underwhelmed overall by Parque Arvi.
Upon arrival, you're greatest by various stalls selling great food, drink and other interesting things.
This information stall did a great job of explaining the points of interest but if you're planning to walk this, it's an incredibly uneventful.
I found myself spending the majority of the time walking along the road.
The issue being that the majority of the walks aren't sign posted so you rarely won't to deter from the main roads.
I would STRONGLY recommend taking a tour or transport to get around quicker, this may have made the whole experience so much better.
Perhaps I'm to blame, perhaps it's the lack of signage.
Who knows!?
Great park up the hill accessible by cable car. Going up cost about 5000 pesos. Was about a 20 minute ride the cable car from santa Domingo. The park has good honest vendors selling stuff. Walk around and do some hiking. There is also a nice waterfall and park to visit
