If you fellow foreigner are looking to pass by and give it a visit to this place follow these steps and you will be OK:

1-Dont give papaya = dont show your expensive & luxury rings, cellphone, camera, chains etc just dont spoil yourself by having expensivr stuff.

2-Night time in downtown NEVER ALONE AND NOT EVEN recommended if you going with a group of friends. Since you dont knoe the surroundings dont EVEN TRY IT PLEASE.

3-morning time, mid day time and afternoon time til 4:00pm is ok to go. But past by 5:00pm dont be there due *hora pico = congestion time*

4-know where are you going and then keep going on. Dont act like u dont know where u going cuz robbers will take that as an chance to steal your stuff.

5-bring always Colombian bills of low denomination = go with 4 bills of 10,000 cop

A lot of people gather around this park to share a moment with the Paisa culture, a lot of little shops, bars, restaurants, the metro system within walking distance.. an old place with an ancient church.

Clean, lots of police wandering about to keep you safe, cool art sculptures, metro station, and at one of the best and groovy shopping areas in the city (El Hueco).

Very cool place to pass by at night in the week-end. Locals are playing typical music and dancing :-)

Fascinating Parque in Medellin, Colombia. Thousands of people milling about. Vendors selling everything from fake Rolex watches, baseball caps, cellphone calls, to fresh cut fruit, and more. Crazy!

It's a historical place in Medellin. However it's usually crowded. I recommend to stop in the metro and go to the candelaria church which is in the Plaza and keep walking to the Botero Sculpture Plaza.
