As a bookshop it is nice, with good selection of Colombian and international titles. As a coffee shop staff is cold and disinterested, coffee is mediocre at best.
Solid wifi, excellent coffee and a great place to sit down and write postcards back home. The English book selection in minimum but you're in Colombia so duh.
Love at the first sight! Delicious freshly ground coffee. An books!
Adorable bookstore, delicious cappuccino. Fast WiFi Good Place to catch your breath or peruse some new books.
Looking for a cozy place to hangout and have some awesome coffee? Put this on your list to visit in old town Cartagena. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Very intimate inside with lots of books. Quiet place to do some work. Our Americano and cold brew were an afternoon delight!
Absolutely beautiful! Could easily spend there my whole day!
Great place to while away an hour - a book store with a bar, so coffee or a beer with a book. Practically perfect.
While it's sometimes busy, the ambience, food, and drinks are well worth the stop in. There are books of all different subjects and it's a great place to spend time looking around at them.
A unique little spot in Cartagena that caters perfectly to those seeking something other than just Caribbean hats and party buses. Smooth jazz, fresh ground coffee aromas, and a visual feast of books. It's a bit too small and popular to make it a working spot, but great to sit back for a coffee and relax with a friend.
We dropped in here twice during our visit to Cartagena and one time was very unpleasant that I had to review it. The second time we came here we ordered two drinks and were given the wrong orders even though we speak Spanish and clearly ordered something different. When we were leaving the bartender started saying really rude things to us even though she knew we understood her. This is not acceptable no matter the location. We urge other tourists to look for other cafés with nicer staff!
My boyfriend and I dropped in to order a juice and rest a bit from the hot sun. We ordered a mora/maracuyá and a mango. The bartender said they were out of mango and suggested zapote (which we'd never had). We said that was fine, and she proceeded to make us 2 zapote juices. When I asked her where the mora/maracuyá I had ordered was, she got very confrontational with me about how I'd ordered 2 zapote juices, even though I'm a native speaker of Spanish and clearly ordered 1. She obviously didn't want to dirty the blender twice by making 2 drinks. The juice was disgusting, so about 1/2 an hour later we got up to pay and she started yelling about how we "hadn't even finished the juice she'd made." SO RUDE. Will not be returning.
If you are a book lover, this is the place for you. There are literally dozens of books in here, even ones you were not expecting to find! There's also a coffee shop inside, which makes it perfect to spend time in here.
Comfortable, good coffee and the mojitos are fresh and not too sweet. Classic Colombian Literature selections in Spanish
nice laid back place for a coffee, free WiFi . coffee and cakes where good and fresh. nice interior, its a book store as well with book from floor to ceiling. light jazz playing
The cold slow filtered coffee was superb. The book they have recommended me is interesting. And they have a place to sip coffee and read both inside near the book shelves and outside watching the street .
I highly recommend it for books and coffee.
I originally gave five stars but dropped it to three because the staff would not serve me after waiting half an hour with the menu. I even tried to order at the bar but no one would acknowledge me. However, there is an excellent coffee selection and the place has a nice vibe to it. Good selection of books. The coffee is really quite delicious there. If you can get it.
