Worth a visit on a warm, sunny day although the park has seen better days. Many of the miniature attractions are rather tatty and in need of renovation. The Eiffel Tower is probably one of the better models and provides a great backdrop for photos. Others, such as London's Tower Bridge and Big Ben are somewhat out of proportion. Ticket price [2011] is around 65 RMB per person. Kids are free.

The Beijing World Park (Beijing Shìjiè Gongyuán), was built as a theme park that attempted to give visitors the chance to see the world without having to leave Beijing, or indeed China. The park covers 46.7 hectares and is located in the south western Fengtai District of Beijing some 17 km from the city centre. The park opened in 1993 and is estimated to receive 1.5 million visitors annually. The World, a 2004 film directed by Jia Zhangke, was shot in and around the Beijing World Park.

Given many Chinese are now able to travel abroad, the park attracts far less visitors, though it remains a popular location for newly-weds who can often be seen having their wedding photos being taken.
