In my humble opinion, this stretch of great wall is better then the 八达岭 great wall in the sense that there are not so many people.i can have the space to reflect on how the ancient soldiers must have suffered when stationed here.

Prepare a good pair of walking shoe when come here. There are shops on the great wall so need not worry.

Physically i find that it is a little more challenging then 八达岭, but not undoable.

This part of the Great Wall is well-restored but it does include a rather arduous climb, so make sure that you are prepared and the weather is appropriate before you go. The place was not crowded on a Sunday October morning (~10 am) and offered nice views of surrounding mountains to enjoy.

Awesome experience, the sections we went up were not so busy, there are more challenging routes for people who want a challenge the. Definitely a China MUST DO. (from the entry point we went in the left side was much more difficult and almost no one on it -50 mins return trip to the peak. and the right hand side - 30 mins, more traffic but has a nice shop at the top for a well deserved ice cream.

Great place. Not too crowded. You should prepare training clothes if you want to go far. A lot of stairs is waiting you. But be careful, these stairs isn't same height
