We reserved a day for Suzhou, and this was the first place we visited spent 3 hours and was the highlight. Wandered the paths generally following the recommended route, and took many beautiful pictures.

Admission costs 70rmb. It has many ponds or tiny lakes in it. Various gardens relate to different stories. There is also a large bonsai garden with various different bonsais. Route just keeps going and feels like it's endless. Could spend a long time in here and take it all in. Definitely worth a visit to get a feel of a real Chinese garden.

A stunning botanic garden with Chinese style design and decoration. Lots of partition of wall and bush create more spaces and views within a limited land. But extremely overcrowding during public holidays. The best time to visit is ten days before public holiday. Otherwise you can only see human heads everywhere and anytime.

Immaculate, millimetricly designed and maintained. Nobody should miss this visit when staying in middle eastern China.
The lotus pond and bonsai garden are astonishing.
Admission ends 30 minutes before closing, but one should spend at least 1 - 1,5 hours in there.

As lots of other reviewers say, it is busy and expensive and commercial. But is is also a garden like no other, massive and sprawling and intricate. If you are in the city you have to see it, as I don't think you'll ever see anything quite like it anywhere else (I certainly haven't).

Nice garden! It would be more enjoyable with less people. It gets really really hot in the summer, but it's still worth a visit. They offer Suzhou traditional opera shows, which have a very different style from Beijing opera!

Interesting place, not worth spending a whole day at though. Go for a morning. The auto tour is useless. Go either early in the morning or in the afternoon to skip the crowds. Bring a fan, it's hot there.

Fantastic garden. Too many visitors, and the environment is not well maintained. Feels a pity to have such a wonderful garden over used like this. Walking outside in Suzhou City, too many people trying to sell fake visiting combos. All tricycle drivers are liars who try to sell a 5CNY ride, but actually trying to take you to fake museums and fake stores. GO STRAIGHT TO THE GARDEN. DON'T TRUST ANY TRICYCLE DRIVER, OR ANY BUSINESS MAN TRYING TO TALK TO YOU.

Very beautiful. Favorite place was the Floating Green Tower. Very poetic names for every pavilion and equally artistic layout. Truly a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A must stop when visiting Shanghai and Suzhou.

Couple of years back when I visited Shanghai, one of my friends from China took me to Suzhou by train from Shanghai. We visited in Suzhou The Humble Administrator's Garden. This Garden is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous of the gardens of Suzhou. It was really worth visiting Gardens.

The most amazing gardens I have seen in China and even though it was more expensive to visit on the weekend 90RMB (Sunday) I was very glad I went and walked around and had a history lesson as well. Great to see that the government is looking after these beautiful gardens for everyone to enjoy.
