The interior of the airport looks like it was cobbled together out of leftover pieces from the exterior construction of an IKEA. Staff were not helpful (if they could be found), almost all of the digital kiosks were broken, the wifi was slow and required giving up your passport to obtain a login code (and of course because you're in China everything is blocked, so be wary of that if you have a layover here). Other information for those with layovers: you will have to go through an abbreviated immigration and security process anyway. Things that are legal to bring into some countries are not legal to bring through China, and they take the security screening seriously. This is even for layovers. Once you're inside, the airport is absolutely miserable. Even passengers in the first class lounge don't get treated well. Don't expect to have a pleasant trip.

Great airport. Take the "maglev" (magnetic levitation) from Line 2 (green) Longyang Road and you will get there in 8 mins.
