A world-class university with quality teaching (something that seems to be slowly disappearing around the world). I absolutely loved my time here purely because of teaching staff's aptitude.
I undertook two units during Summer but was a little unhappy at how identical they felt. Administration procedures and the lack of feedback on assessable items let down the quality of this university. Enquiries in Chinese and English either tend to be returned late (>month) or ignored. The website for administration also seems to be outdated, which may be perceived by some as unofficial. Additionally, the proceedure for applying for accommodation is a nightmare. I didn't know I had a roof over my head until the day I walked into campus.
The food is cheap and ok, but don't expect anything miraculous. It's also a pain getting in and out of university because the gate is blocked by domestic tourists. The bottom line is this is an excellent university and it was worth every cent I paid. You'll make a lot of friends and the lakes inside campus are perfect to relax by.
Just make sure you do everything you can to get through the Great Wall of Bureaucracy.response / report this review -

An absolutely beautiful university, lying in the heart of Beijing. Expansive gardens and traditional architecture add to the grandeur and splendour of the grounds. Awesome facilities and seasonal changes bring out the best in the university's landscape.
