If you are stay here because of the brand name of "The St. Regis", then I am sorry to tell you that it is not the same with "The St. Regis" you might stay before in other countries. The lobby is always so drak, no matter during day or night time. May be the interior designer wanted to present the mysterious atmosphere of Tibet among the building. But for me, I just felt like I was staying and keep in and out in a cove of a mountain, everywhere was not enough lighting even made me a difficulty to read the menu in restaurant.
The room is too huge (75m²) , means I had lots of lights and curtains need to close and switch off before in bed. A huge room also create another issue when I need to use washroom in the middle of night like everyones did. However, the bed and washroom were placed at two end of the room separately. In this condition, the mind is still feel so asleep. Therefore, even the path from bed to washroom may not be that easy as you thought. My legs and knee get hit some object and when wake up in the middle of sleeping.

Pretty sure the hotel is the best in Lhasa City. It's not far away from the City Center. Rooms are really huge with everything we need. The Deco made the hotel feels like a Tibetan Palace.

Could be better, next to restaurant, free breakfast, floors are dirty and bathroom is terrible.

Had a very pleasant stay during the journey. The room is large. However, it is a long walk from the lobby if you stay in building Two. The buffet is by far the best around the area.

If you have to go to Lhasa, this is the best clean hotel you can find.
(Stay away from Shangri-la, Lhasa. It's 3-star quality with bad food.)

One thing important, use the hotel car!
(The local taxi drivers are violent. They not only smoke, spit, but also get aggressive if you do not let them stop on street to pick up strangers to share your ride. It's very common in this area.)

If your taste is refined, I recommend to wait till Rosewood, or at least Four Seasons and Riz to open a branch here. (I planned a 10-day Tibet trip, only ended up tolerating 4 days max. You get the point.)
