Sleeping staff at reception, no sense for assisting GUEST, terrible or NO service at all. Breakfast awful, you'd better eat at a garbage belt!! Looks and smells awful.
Reception treats guests as animals, even my dog gets more respect in every country in the whole world.
Only "positive" point is location.
Tired hotel with staff that does not seem to care. Rooms are ok. Location is very close to Secret City, the view from the roof terrace is beautiful.
Overall the hotel was ok, but not the 4+ stars that I commonly see it as online.
Biggest issues:
- Staff was just honestly useless. Most had very poor English, which is fair as it's in Beijing, but if a hotel is going out of the way to be featured on (Western) booking sites it should probably make a bit of an effort
- Breakfast wasn't included. 38 yuan for the buffet and it was ok.
- No shampoo in the bathroom. Had to go to the convenience store to get some.
- Wifi was garbage. In my room (203 if anyone else is so unlucky) it only worked when I was leaning up against the door, or literally on the toilet. I usually had to go down to the lobby to get decent wifi. When I asked the hotel about it, they just said "one wifi", even though in the room there was a small booklet that said to contact the front desk if there were internet issues. They didn't know enough English to both making a fuss over it
One thing I will mention is that the room I was in was quite clean, and had a handy safe in it. Location was also very conveniently located. The area seems sketchy, but it's just a normal neighbourhood.
Awful service, rooms had an awful tobacco stench. As for service, everytime we asked for help at the reception we had no as an answer all the time, could event get a taxi when asked for.
The hotel is located in an alley way and doesn't feel safe. There is no heater and the aircon is almost useless. On the first day of our stay, one of the bathroom towels were ripped. The rooms are a bit dated and because of the hotel's location, there is a lot of noise. The bathroom needs some renovation. The doorbell is kind of creepy and can get on your nerves sometimes. The breakfast buffet doesn't have much variety and is too basic. The wifi isn't that reliable either. For a three star hotel, you would expect to get free bottles of water but the King Park View Hotel does not provide this service. The showers need to be replaced because the current showers aren't working properly because of calcium build up. And same with the taps. The staff at reception do not speak English and this is a major problem. The hotel does not have laundry service either. The walls in the room are covered with wallpaper which is peeling off. Overall the hotel was not of 3-star quality and can be improved.
Reasonably good hotel. Little bit dated interior room design. Some maitence needs to be done. Our shower head needed to be replaced. The hotel is is located in a back alley, make sure that have working Google maps.
Nice Hotel, good price. Neighbourhood seems scary at first but it's not at all. Great fruit markets on the street everyday
Impressions are very negative. Especially about service. At the time of arrival, room was not ready. With that, we paid from 12-00, and arrived at 23-00. Employee at Reception said we should wait, because the room is preparing. However, when we got the keys in the room did not have towels, toothbrushes, and the bed for one of us was not ready . For such price, breakfast is too meager. Wi-fi only in the lobby, and intermittently. Upon return of the deposit was given fake money.
