Convenient for Guangzhou East railway station but seemed quite a lot smaller than the Shenzhen store.

Great experience!! The entire shipping experience can take a while but it's worth it. BTW the food is awesome and cheap.

IKEA is IKEA, but it sure was fun to see the people trying out the furniture and beds!

A sole IKEA store for the whole Guangzhou metropolitan area's 10 million population. You can imagine how bloody crowded this place is every day, even during weekdays

The store is huge, standard branch no doubt, but I think you just can't enjoy shopping here because of the noisy and cramped environment. I suggest you not to go there on holidays, the whole place will always be crammed with people. All armchairs, sofas displayed will be seated. Some people will even sleep on the beds, like this is their own house

Ikea is Ikea but two stars for letting people actually sleep on the furniture. Bloody ridiculous.

Ikea is Ikea. You know what to expect. As an expat, Ikea is a great venue, when I first moved to Guangzhou I bought everything I needed here. You know what your getting, so it is easy. Now we go to Ikea about once every couple of months and stock up on meatballs, mashed potatoes, smoked salmon, lingonberry juice. Generally it is a busy location. IKEA is positioned as a middle to top end brand.

In a city of 30 million you can imagine what IKEA here looks like. Despite the crowds they do a great job with organization of the flow. If you're patient you can get everything you need, just prepare for the crowds. We've even seen people sleeping on couches and in beds. Tip: get there as soon as they open, plan ahead and know what you need. Treat yourself to some 'goodis' at the end.
