In short, took too long to buy tickets, nothing else I can really say.
Aim to arrive here 40 minutes before your train. If you don't have a ticket than make that an hour at least and cross your fingers.
If you can buy your ticket through one of the agents in town then do so (ask your hotel or staff). The queue can be terrible and the electronic machines accept the new resident card only.
Prefer to take the train from here to Beijing or Shanghai. Never delayed.
Business class is excellent. Best way to travel.
Avoid it for short trips such as GZ to Shenzhen unless you are located close by the the south Station.
It is a located a long way from down town GZ.
As crowded as any other Chinese station of any sorts. It's an organised chaos, where queuing is optional! If you're a foreigner, it's easier to go thru the manned gate whether you're going into the station or going thru the fare gates. They will need to check your passports manually. The rest of the horde get to use the auto gates which scans their identity cards. You'll be faster thru. ;)
The building are big, but they need to clean up the toilet.
从国铁下车转乘地铁极不方便,只有两台升降电梯,没有扶手电梯,一到节假日就十分拥挤
夜間候車在另外一邊上樓,看指示牌一直沒搞明白…
This is massive. Bigger than some regional airports in many countries.
