The bed is comfy, not your standard Chinese hard bed, pillows are soft. It has a TV, kettle, safe and an Excellent shower. Close to chongwenman metro, which is pretty central. The only disappointing thing was that the carpets were sticky, had stains and the corridor stank of cigarettes, despite it being nonsmoking.

Considering the standard in China it is a reasonable priced middle class hotel. The location is perfect to discover Beijing by for and metro. Couple of breakfast places and shops nearby.

Chongwenmen hotel have recently been my preferred hotel for brief accommodation in the capital city. The hotel itself is a bit worn out, but fine for the needs of our family, and the price is welcoming. The service is good and the suite rooms are great for stay ins or guests as they have seperate rooms. The WIFI is terrible though, and works best if at all in the lobby.

What is really good about this hotel is the location though. Chongwenmen is one of our favorite districts, and nearby (just next to the hotel), is a wide array of malls, restaurants and shopping opportunities. The subway is right below the hotel, and it is easy to get a taxi from this location. Something that can be tough at times, in Beijing.
