Awesome! It's very tall and big.
Great Modern art museum. Free entry with certain paid exhibits. Very nice museum to visit if you're in the area. But with it being so new there are a lot of areas that do not have anything available to view.
Very nice Chinese Art Museum within this iconic building that was the former China Pavillion of the 2010 Expo. The entrance it's free and theres a lot of different expositions to see, you can spend about a long afternoon but keep in mind that there's very little English indications.
The building itself is quite fun and even a little scary for those with fear of heights. You take elevators up and you and up. The museums pieces aren't the quality of the Louve or MET just yet, but it's free and definitely worth stopping by.
Great place from in- and outside. Many interesting pieces of contemporary art. We spend two hours in it. Entry is free.
A nice contemporary art museum. The architecture is wonderful.
Surprisingly good collection of modern Chinese arts. We spent almost an hour at the digitalized Qingming Shanghe Tu, which is such a clever and beautiful way to show the ancient daily lives with so much details. It is a must-see. We happened to be able to go in with a free ticket, the architecture is also interesting to see itself. Would recommend a good 3-hour visit for sufficient time roaming around.
Very nice building from the outside. Not that nice from the inside. A lot of leaks in the roof make the museum more of a bucket show than an art gallery.
The paintings are 99% Chinese which are really interesting. But there is barely any English description and absolutely no tour marked in the museum. So if you are not perfect in mandarin, it is a lot of guessing.
But it's free
It was the China Pavilions doing the 2010 Shanghai world Expo. The Art Palace worth a visit if you have extra time.
Beautifully designed building. Free for entry and some regular exhibitions inside, and ¥20 for the multimedia version of the fantastic ancient Chinese painting Along the River During the Qingming Festival.
