My friend and I did the Cerro Alegre and Concepcion walking tour with this guys and it was excellent!! The guide, who I sadly can't remember his name, was the best!! Very informative and entertaining. He gave us many good recommendations, starting with alfajores during the tour.
You should definitely do one of their tours if you visit Valparaiso!
Sergio is a Valpo local and having him as our Wally guide we felt we was touring us through his home which was intimate and super fun!! We loved seeing the city through new eyes when he explained the history behind the cerros and street art. It is a great walking city and tours 4 tips provides the perfect walking tour. Thanks again!!
Great walking tour, and a fantastic way to see the city. Our guide Camillo was incredibly knowledgeable and very helpful. Really fun and highly suggest! You can pay what you'd like - perfect for the solo traveler to meet people too!
We had such an amazing tour with Sergio! It was three hours long and I didn't even get bored which is crazy considering how easily I usually get bored. We did the afternoon tour and are considering going back for the morning tour too because it was so good!
Great free walking tours
We did both the morning and afternoon tours which had really great guides with brilliant English. Very interesting - both were as good as another. The afternoon tour is a more obvious route that you could do yourself, but it's the information that's very useful.
Tip: if you do both tours, you needn't stay to the end of both as they just take you back to their office and give you a free drink sample - you could stop the morning tour in the square just before getting on the bus, or the afternoon one at the point where you see the massive mural before heading down to the flat area.
A really nice tour to get a feeling about the city. They show you how to take the bus and you can ask anything you want. Please don't forget to give a tip! So many people just left, and that's just rude for the hard work they put in!!
My friends and I did both the morning and after tour. It's cool that they both take different routes and focus on different aspects of life in Valparaiso and it's history.
Amazing off-beat tour of Valparaiso. The run tours daily at 10 am and 3 pm. the 10 am is off-beat and the 3 pm is must see in Valparaiso. The average tip is about $15USD, but you can tip higher or lower. They wear waldo shirts to help you easily find them in Plaza Sotomayor. They're the sister-company of La bicicleta verde, another amazing tour company in Valpo & Santiago. In the morning tour, they first covered history of Valparaiso and then we also took a bus ride up to Plaza Bismark.
Great tour, with knowledgable and enthousiastic guide C.J. If I had had more time in Valparaiso I would have gone on some other tours with them!
A fantastic way to learn about the history of Valparaiso and see some of the wonderful street art. Our guide Camilo was informative and fun. Would highly recommend, especially if you have limited time there like we did.
