Good hostel nice design and location. But if you arr looking for a place quite to rest and relax after a busy day that's not for you. Noisy, People shouting during the night, parties throught the night and people running up and down in the wooden floor that seems horses are living just buy you. A big fat no to this place if you are not a party animal or if you don't care about your beauty sleep 😏

Stay wasn't perfect but it's a nice hostel which is fairly well located. Pool is a great addition. Not sure why the pool bar closes in the afternoon though.

The highlight of this hostel was its awesome pool! So nice with a poolside bar. This is a great place to stay for those who want a backpacker-y social vibe. Reception was also kind and helpful. Our main concern was that our room was reeeeeaaaally hot with no windows and for the price we paid we would have hoped for at least a fan or something. This probably isn't a problem for those looking to stay here in the winter, as we came on a really hot summer day.

Nice old mansion with pool, bar and garden. Well equipped kitchen, friendly staff. Great location barrio Brasil. If you take the airport bus, jump off at Los Heroes and walk 10 minutes. Its just not very quiet and a fan in the room would be helpful. The private rooms are a good bargain and come with breakfast included. Recommended.

I've never had a hostel experience this bad.
Staff was incredibly unprofressional sitting around at the front desk with friends instead of doing their job.
I was kicked out at 330am for asking the front desk staff to ask the dorm next to mine to quiet down.
He threatened to call the police on me and I did nothing aggressive or disrespectful, nor did I argue.
Apparently my "attitude is wrong" for wanting to sleep at 330am.
Upon trying to contact the owners or higher management I was just stonewalled.
There are better and nicer hostels within a 5km radius, and I very much enjoyed the other hostel I found at 430am
It is overpriced as well.
Rude, disrespectful staff that cannot be bothered to do their job, stay away.response / report this review -

Beware of thr rooms beside the communal toilets From 6am onwards the noise is loud. But great, social place and would stay again

Really really bad service since I told them I'm from Israel I don't know why but I guess it's clear why. Not very clean and I had bed bags in my bed. They also have weird roles and the people here are really not nice . Highly recommend not to visit this place if you want to have fun

Worst customer service ever.
First receptionist didn't let us in the building because they were doing a shift hand over. Then made us wait in the entrance for forty minutes while she is joking about with her friends instead of just giving us the key to the room so we can relax and settle things later
Second receptionist charged the tax tourists shouldn't pay. When I noticed that and complained he told me that I need to ask for the discount although he had my forign passport in his hand and he knows the law
To sum up, this review join the other bad reviews I decided to ignore before booking this hostel Don't make my mistake! There are planty of alternatives to choose from in the same price range.

So I stayed here 4 nights where I was the only person in an 8 bed dorm. I had a flight at 3pm on the day I was leaving and asked the staff for late check out, I was told I would have to pay for another day. The place was empty! Whatever, I grabbed my stuff and checked out. I clarified if it was ok I hang out in the common areas until my flight time, apparently not! Never have I experienced this in a hostel. I kicked up a fuss and they grudgingly relented.. The staff were unfriendly for the duration of my stay with a few exceptions. The building was nice, the staff ruined it. Clueless and dismissive. Worst hostel atmosphere ever.

This hostel is amazing for it's price, including a swimming pool and many facilities. It is also beautiful and very clean. Highly recommended.

Was not really thrilled my stay here. The building itself is very unique with plenty of places to sit and relax, plus the pool was nice. However the staff was somewhat unfriendly and the room I stayed in was very hot with no windows and nowhere to charge my phone.

I really like the place; it's got a great vibe. But the WiFi is total crap, hardly working. The room is hot with minimal ventilation, too. I bought a cheap fan in town to survive my stay.

The Casa Roja hostel is a great place to stay. It is an old villa and has a pool, two bars, plenty of space and lots of interesting travellers to connect with. Also they offer different events, guided tours and a bicycle rental. Basically everything you need for a good stay.
