Cheapest hostel in town for a reason! The windows of our room were broken. The staff (volunteers) were helpful though and "fixed" them with cardboard. There is a nightclub near so if you want quietness not the best hostel.

Excelente lugar muy buen ambiente, ideal para mochileros y personas que van de pasada. Es muy agradable la estadía pero no lo recomiendo para personas que deseen mayor tranquilidad, ya que hay un flujo constante de personas que van y vienen desde muy temprano y hasta muy tarde.

Hostal para mochileros, buen precio por estadía, lugar acogedor, limpio y muy bien cuidado considerando que es una casa de la época colonial alemana de Puerto Varas

My experience there was a 4. I liked the people and the setting, but I got told to stop playing music because people were sleeping at 10:45 am. To me, that is ridiculous in a shared space. Not my fault that person stayed up until 4 am wasting time. The breakfast was nothing to write home about but free calories are always good. There is a computer for use. The worst part of my experience is I slept there 3 nights and paid for 4 because I left at 8 pm one night to stay with a friend. I left a couple food items there and went back to pick them up. The owner told me I stiffed her (when it was the opposite) and I felt was very rude about this. She kept beating a dead horse and eventually came around but I took serious offense to her not being able to have a basic level of accounting because if she did--this situation would have never arose and there was a process for noting guests. I may stay there again sometime but it won't be to provide the owner business but simply to be with the people.

Pistachio is a fun and relaxed hostel that feels like home. The breakfast is included and I paid 10000 for a dorm in December 2016. It's a great place to meet people!
