Probably one of the largest hotels in West Africa located in the Cocody Area of Abidjan.. Fantastic view of the city, the pool area is simply breathtaking Great Selection of Food and Drinks.. Very Ideal for Business Travelers..

Biggest hotel in Abidjan. Watching a movie here is also a good experience. The pool, wow! Probably one of the largest you'll see. I wonder how they keep it clean?

Just had a very enjoyable stay at the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire. Was upgraded and got a lovely room with a spectacular room of the bay. The staff were very accomodating and great service and the beak fast buffet wonderful - very healthy. Very nice ambiance well decorated and beautiful tropical flowers all over.
To top it off on my departure - today as it was Valentine's Day Othniel from the Service client gave me a beautiful flowers to remember my stay.response / report this review -

POOR SERVICE. They messed up with my reservation first and then with the tariffs and, since they couldn't do anything when I checked out because the manager wasn't there, they promised to come back to me via email but I never heard of them. Such a shame having such a poor customer care in the most beautiful hotel in Abidjan.

Stunning, super expensive, historical, design, retro. All these positives comes to mind while describing this hotel. Have never stayed there, just used the bar for coffee (apx 5€). See the steep prices as paying the entrance for aesthetically pleasing experience. This hotel is really out of the league of all hotels in West Africa.

Possible the best, and certainly the most famous hotel in Ivory Coast. Déco is out of this world. Food choices varies but a bit overpriced. Magnificent views at night. Service can be better.

Beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms, amazing breakfast, and an unbelievable pool. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

The swimming pool is beautiful by any standard, and certainly the best in Abidjan.
The lobby is gorgeous.
The architecture magnificent.

Horrible hotel with disturbing tactics to steal money from travelers. Beware!!!
First - hotel room was subpar and mediocre at best. Only saving grace is it was somewhat clean.
Annoying repetitive song played in the elevator - over and over and over. Thought I would go mad!
Food in hotel restaurants were below average and overpriced.
Front desk employees were unfriendly and unhelpful.
However the worst issue is this - I am an US Government employee. My reservation stated this fact - that I was with the US embassy. Yet I was charged above the US PER DIEM RATE! I Didn't realize this until it was too late and the hotel would not adjust the nightly rate to match the per diem rate. Bottom line - I had to pay the difference (the overage) which was about $280 US dollars!
So travelers beware - be sure that whatever rate you should be charged is actually charged when you check out because they will not work with you.
My hope is that this review prevents at least one person from lodging at this nefarious criminal hotel - this would make the Sofitel lose more money than I have lost! I am spreading this story of my terrible experience with all of my colleagues and have advised that no one else should lodge here - a pretty significant loss of business! Also, the next time I am in Abidjan, I will be lodging at the delightful boutique hotel that is definitely within the per diem rate!!!

Fantastic hotel located in a lovely picturesque lagoon. Very close to the city centre and well maintained. Good security, making you feel safe. Room is very comfortable and spotless and bathroom is very spacious,clean and has all the amenities needed. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Free WiFi works well throughout the hotel. Variety of bars and restaurants located at the hotel and nearby.
