I have been walking by this place during our stay here and as my family doesn't eat veggies like I do, they walked in here with me to check it out. The food bar looked great, though not all set up even 45 minutes after opened. We ordered a smoothie for my little sons and waited on the stools by the window (not even taking up any of the tables ) for the restaurant next door to open in 10 minutes so they could go eat a proper hot breakfast with eggs and I could stay at Tibits. No sooner had we opened the mango bottle that someone very politely came over and told us we could not stay because the mango smoothie was a togo item and not expensive enough to stay. With two little ones in tow, we ushered ourselves out into the rain and Union Diner let us in 10 minutes early. I guess I will just have pancakes over here then. In all our many years living in Europe, NEVER has a restaurant kicked us out with kids after we purchased an item from them. The restaurant had ONE customer in it at the time. I am looking over there now and no one has entered since we left 20 minutes ago. Stupid.

Yummy vegetarian fare. "Fruit bear salad" (gummy bears in a bowl) may be the funniest thing I've ever seen on a buffet. Awesome chai latte (although pricey).

Tibits is the only restaurant in Basel that I like going to again and again. I love the freedom, the choice of flavours, the fact that it's all veggies and the homy atmosphere. This time I brought my visitors and they said it's the best food they had in a long time. Thumbs up.

Super yummy brunch. Open earlier than other places on a Sunday. So good that we bought the cookbook And I'm a devote meat-eater.

Amazing. Great for vegetarians but also for non vegetarians as food is delicious for anybody! Price is per weight so you can decide how much you pay by how much you eat and prices are acceptable. Atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. Tap water is free which is not always the case in switzerland/Germany. Absolutely worth going to!!

Best vegetarian restaurant ever. So much choice and the food is very tasty. It does get busy so you have to make sure your partner finds a seat first also the prices are expensive but at a restaurant like this it is well worth it

Great vegetarian buffet and very good sandwiches (I hope they bring back the triangle with Bergkäse). Some of my favourites are the mini-calzoni, kachori, the lentil and carrot salad, the ginger/apple/carrot-juice and the tiramisu. Quick service and modern interior. Only downside is that the place is almost too popular, can't wait for the new one to open!

I like the idea that you pay according to how much your food weighs. It is still quite pricey but then again you are in Switzerland so everything is pricey. They have great selections of food, lots of fresh vegetables so you can have plenty of healthy choices.

Really nice, yummy food. You pay depending on the weight of your plate (how much food did you put onto your plate). The atmosphere of the place is quite cozy too. Sometimes it gets really crowded.
