Rooms are old styled and very cozy. One who needs spacious roomshis One is not for you.
Services are just okay. WiFi is not available to all rooms. You need to sit in the lobby for Internet.

Lovely disco four days a week !! Great beds but pillows a bit softer than usual. Lovely view of alps from window! Breakfast less option but healthy and delicious food is served. Experience a new of entering the hotel ( 8.99 out of 10 )

Huge hotel with many rooms and a great view from most of the rooms, however the upholstery and finish isn't great! Would rate it a 3 star property, though it offers amazing, even from the breakfast/dining areas. The staff was cordial and well behaved. One catch is that the hotel mostly takes large group and hence it may be empty on one day and full of people on another. Also the offerings are designed accordingly, for e.g. no tea, kettle facility in rooms as Chai/Tea and snacks are served at the restaurant daily for groups, prepared in large qtty.

A perfect place for holiday in Switzerland. Mouth watering and breath taking scene outside purview of hotel. It's an heritage property. But tourist should check there is no last moment rush as it's full on reservation at peak summer season. Excellent stay. Comfort levels are awesome. Memorable stay at hotel building. Only problem is lifts in hotel which are small and needs modernization.

Ok on scale of 1 to 10(10 is best). I rate 6
Suggestion install net outside WINDOW do we can open window to prevent bugs mosquito entering room. Fix the room door so there is no gap when you close to prevent bugs flies or insects entering room
Answer like it is 100 years old is wrong management attitude

Stunning views from the hotel. I visited in summer. Totally loved the rooms, service and food. There's free WiFi but only in Lobby. Loved the interiors. Highly recommended. Worth spending my money here.

Rooms vary in size from luxurious (triple suite) to downright miniscule. Dinner is so so, and staff, though attentive, do not seem to care about guests.

The hotel has many features that remind of its heydays as a 5 star hotel for the rich. The location in Engelberg is fantastic. Staff is friendly and competent.

The hotel rooms are slightly dated but clean and the beds are comfy. Good breakfast offering and friendly staff. Great hotel bar with extensive gin and rum selection

One star deducted for very small outdated lift which consumes a lot of time, and other for disco and dining area which is too much crowded! Doesn't give a feel of Switzerland
