Pretty good - food, restaurant, service is actually about as good as it gets and the location (right on the water!) is fantastic. Close to a 5 star but given the price class they're playing in not quite there. Yet.

That said, don't understand the bad reviews here at all. The staff are lovely.

Great restaurant by the lake, however the owner is a little strange. He made an odd joke to my Swiss friend which made her feel uncomfortable when she requested the menus in English. The rest of the staff are lovely and the food is really good too.

All the stars are for the view.
Quite expensive even for Swiss standards, food is just ok.
Please stop putting drowning the steak tartare in tomato/ketchup it is such a waste of cows.

Beautiful location on the lake. Excellent food and wine, but on the expensive side of things even for Zurich standards. Parking nearby on other side of the railway tracks.

The L'O is a huge disappointment. Very unfortunate as the view from the restaurant, and the whole setting and ambiance is stunning. The food is also good. Not great, but definitely not the reason not to go again.
The service is the reason I cannot recommend this restaurant, and is why we will not be returning. The L'O is not a cheap restaurant, and for the price, I expect very good service. But with Sushi, you don't get chop sticks. With salad, you don't get bread. The wine was forgotten, Empty water never filled up, staff walking by the table empty handed when there are things to clear off of tables, and so on.
A real shame as this is one of the nicest locations in the region, and could be an absolute favorite otherwise.
