Unofficial gay joint. Space in front of dj is so constrained that your time on dance floor is rationed. In 10 minuets or so, once you get your groove going, someone will push you aside.

I dont know why some people give it 1 Star and complain about all sorts of stuff. Hive is by far one of the best Clubs in Zurich. But of course it depends what you are looking for in a Club experience. If you are looking to dance to some David Guetta, buy a bottle of grey goose with some fireworks in it, brought to you by a model waitress and then taking some selfie at your VIP table to put on your insta.well lets just say Hive is not that kind of club.

Hive is the kind of club that is true to the authentic rave experience. People go there because it has the best underground Techno DJs as well as up-and-coming local talent. Dresscode is come-as-you-are..unless you are in a suit and dress shoes :) They want to create an atmosphere for people to be themselves and enjoy themselves however way they want. and just because some reviews mention it - yes, some people there might be intoxicated on other things than alcohol. But im not sure if this is a bad thing. I prefer someone relaxed and friendly on ecstasay anytime over someone who is drunk and aggressive (I guess we have all seen that before). Overall I find the atmosphere at Hive a lot more relaxed, less aggressive and much less pretentious than at any other place.

Soif you are into electronic music, enjoy a free spirited, hedonistic atmosphere - look no further!

2 women, 3 men, 2h waiting in line - only entrance for the girls. Btw we were all over 25/ well dressed/ not drunk.

Mediocre club.
Sound its ok but not very loud 7/10.
Space quiet nice inside outside but it can get cranky and tight plus carpet on main dance floor gets often really sticky 7/10.
Bar quiet accessible with fair prices, however not much of a choices to find there 8/10.
Security is over motivated to "keep you safe", plus they make a big fuzz on the gate 2/10.
Temperature, super warm, can't breath, can't dance. (1/10).
One of those clubs which adopted policy of selling twice as much tickets as is capacity of the club inside, than you keep it super warm (sweat dripping from the sealing) that everyone who is dancing for 20min has to go out for 20min to cool down.
Overall there are anyway not soo many other choices so try to have fun.

Probably one of the best clubs in Zurich when it comes to electronic music and hedonistic parties. The Hive Club thrills the audience regularly with extravagant line ups of famous DJ artists as well as (yet) unknown talents. Some of our DJs love to perform there due to its unique atmosphere and grateful (and graceful) audience. When you're in Zurich and look for a decent night filled with exquisite electronic music, go there as the Hive Club in Zurich West is certainly a perfect adress. As most of the clubs in Zurich, Hive has a specific door policy tooso do not get frustrated when rejected (happens to the best clubbers - whatever that means - and even celebrities). So just be prepared not to get in and try to discover other locations in this beautiful city - Zurich has a lot to offer and it's on you to be adventurous then ;-). We normaly don't give 5 stars in ratings as we're not fans of perfection and there is always room to improve - but since Hive is for years a member of the league of extraordinary music clubs, we do an exception with ease.
