We stopped for a drink at the restaurant and to look at possibly staying at the hotel in the future as the area is lovely. However we were so disappointed in the coldness of the service. Having asked if it was OK to pay with our Mastercard before ordering, (and were told it was OK), another waitress told us that it was only allowed with orders over SF15. However they would overlook this rule on this occasion. But the next embarrassment happened when we actually paid. The watress told us that the machine would only allow us to pay in US$ not Swiss Frances! She clearly did not know how to use the card machine. So she took the problem to her manager who also didn't know how to use it! I showed them but this caused the manager to walk off in a huff! The whole experience was unpleasant AND the coffee was luke warm, (but the first watress, (nice one) did replace it).

Nice location, only accessible by boat or foot. A bit expensive and small portions. Wonderful history and tradition.

After a >6km walk we enjoyed some refreshing beer in a lovely site. Worth the walk. They seem to serve excellent food also.
