Beautiful small Village and Great Visit. Entry is Free with SWISS PASS and its so Worth it. Its definitely a must go with entries to a 4D movies in different languages. Its so much fun a chocolate lover or just how well its thought out and made. It has a great cafe and THE Best selection of Nestle and Cailler chocolates

The Maison Cailler tour was absolutely fantastic - I'd highly recommend it for both children and adults.

The first stage is a trip through history - a series of themed rooms with moving props and excellent narration (it looked like there were almost a dozen languages available).

The second stage was a self-guided area where you can listen to stories from those involved in the production of Cailler chocolate. There were also stations around the room to see, smell, and touch the different ingredients used.

Next you could see an example assembly line in action, with thorough descriptions, and you were given chocolates fresh from that line at the end of the hall. You could watch the factory workers active in a larger room following that, though they were only working on one type of chocolate when we were there.

Following that, there was a hallway that gave step by step instructions on how to 'properly' taste test a small chocolate bar - it was great to slow down and really enjoy the experience. But that wasn't the end - the final room was a surprise - LOTS of chocolate varieties to taste test, so much that we were a bit overloaded and didn't try every one.

Maison Cailler also had an option to make your own chocolate, but that was a bit pricey for our family, but we could see the 'chocolatiers in training' through a glass window having a lot of fun.

This was probably the best tour of this type we've ever been on!

This is a good place to visit for both children and adults. There is a small tour which is pretty graphic and takes you through the history of chocolate and the brand. There is a free tasting at the end of the tour. They also have a small restaurant and a chocolate store. You can buy a lot of chocolate at a good price. I recommend taking the chocolate train.

Unmissable place for chocolate lovers! During the interactive factory visit you will understand the origin and history of chocolate and the Cailler brand, you will get know the process of chocolate production and have an opportunity to tast quality ingredients - such as cocoa beans (yummiiiii!!!), almond, cocoa butter, nuts etc. Of course the locally made product, some different kind of famous Cailler chocolate creations will be offered you several times during the visit.

Free entry for kids under 16! And just under £10 for adults. Bargain! A great interactive tour showing the history of chocolate discovery through to production in Switzerland. Interactive rooms explaining how it works today and where ingredients are from etc. You see a production line in operation then are told how to test chocolate before the best bit which is free tasting of chocolates from Cailler/Nestlé's ranges. Eat till you've had enough. My kids absolutely loved this place. We only waited 30 minutes for out your but did hear stories of 2 hours waits. I suggest a morning visit to avoid longest queues.

Really enjoyed it despite the waiting time. Small groups of 20 people are allowed in at a time. But the site is really well organized. There is a cinema room (promoting the Cailler chocolate), a chocolate shop and a small cafe for the waiting + a children ground play outside! We took our time when it came to the chocolate tasting room. Absolutely delicious 😀

This was one of the best experiences visiting any factory. The experience was wonderful with a lovely tour and then finishing with a lot of chocolate to taste. The entire tour is automated and recorded but it is done so well that you will not miss a human narrating the story.
The best part was that you could try as many different type of chocolates at the end of the tour.

A must see place for all chocolate lovers (and others too). You get to see history of the place, of the Cailler family, learn about chocolate production process (from cocoa to chocolate bars) and, to top it off, you get to taste as much chocolate pralines as you want at the end.

I ate so much I barely could look at chocolate for another week. :P

Really nice museum and tour. It cost 12 CHF (IN 2017) for adult. I think the tour is also very interesting for childrens because they present the story in a funny way. Also you can taste unlimited chocolate for free in the museum (if you pay the entrance ). And there is a shop with all kinds of chocolates, the prices looks to be like in supermarkets.
They have free parking, and kind of big, so no problem with this.

Recommend this place. Very interesting excursion and tasty chocolates. Visit a cinema with good old advertising. Also you may take part in master class with employees.

Great place to visit and highly recommend the tour there. It is nice to learn about history and about chocolate making. Gift shop has nice souvenir as well, BUT if you are looking to shop chocolate in huge bulks visit the Nestle shop nearby up the hill is recommended.
