Wow. Classy? Ask for a swift lift to the ststionup glides a stretch limo. Pack plenty of clothes.

I travel quite a lot for work and for pleasure and see a lot of hotels but the Kulm Hotel is definitely the best hotel me and my wife have ever been to.
We stayed at Kulm for 4 nights as part of a longer visit in the Alps but we were wowed immediately as we arrived. The hotel is very centrally located and is about 5-10 minutes walk to almost anything in St Moritz Dorf. It sits slightly high and because of that has some of the most amazing views you will find anywhere - the lake and the Rosatsch mountain. You can enjoy the views from the very stylish lobby windows where they serve afternoon tea, from the smoking room or from the terrace of the main restaurant. The main restaurant is also where they serve breakfast which is definitely one of the most rich selections you will find anywhere. On our last morning all the tables on the terrace where taken but the manager promised to have a table for us in 10 minutes - we when for a short walk and less than 5 minutes later he came himself to tell us the table was ready. Service was indeed outstanding - I never heard the word "no".
My other favourite parts of the hotel were
- the fitness - a very large and well equipped gym is a must for any 5 star hotel but the reason this one is special are the views. Full views of the lake and the mountain that made us want to work out (and so we did 3 mornings)
- the absolutely huge indoor pool and the Spa and wellness area. As it was summer we did not use most of the Sauna/Steam-rooms but they looked excellent. The outdoor heated pool with various hydro-features was also awesome.
- the Golf Club - right next to the hotel is the Kulm Golf Club which has a lovely and very scenic 9-hole course that we played twice - best part its free for guests to play and they even provide you with complementary clubs.
- other activities - we would recommend a morning of cycling to anyone visiting the area as there are some amazing places and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that the hotel has a selection of bicycles that guests can use for free; you also get free passes to all lifts and busses in the area and we used these on our second day to go all the way up to Piz Nair
Our room was lovely and I would recommend room 375 to anyone - it faces the mountain rather than the lake so its little cheaper but because it is a corner room it has windows that look both directions and you can in fact see the lake quite well.
Kulm hotel is definitely the best hotel we have been to and we are sure to return there!

Absolutely one of the best hotels in the world. Amazing experience and the spa is worth is alone. Every experienced traveler should try staying here at least once. Attention to detail and comfort was exquisite.

One of the grande dames of the area. Stuffy and formal- just as I like it.
Apparently the swimming pool is special and memorable but I didn't use it - I was too busy fattening myself in the ballroom restaurant or one of the bars.
A gorgeous corner suite was a wood-pannelled delight, with a partial view of the lake.response / report this review -

Jenny and Heinz Hunkeler are masters in pampering their guests at St. Moritz Kulm Hotel. Once again we enjoyed our stay in St. Moritz starting off by being picked up at the St. Moritz train station.
