this is a classic place very nice/elegant inside great food (we had the steak, the duck liver mouse, and the classic Zurich meat with mushroom sauce and a hash brown ended with a caramel dish which was, almost, like a soup they serve you that until you tell them to stop) some people could say that the service is slow and inattentive, but, I found it to be relaxing and un-pressured (like being at home)

One of the best restaurants i've been to in a long time. The price is a bit expensive but the quality and the friendliness of the staff are superb.

The good:
The starters were nice. The lobster with chilli corn soup was excellent.
The ugly (skipping the bad):
I know I shouldn't expect large portions in gourmet restaurant but please we had hamster size portions (absolutely not good value for your money). I will be honest, I had a vegetarian meal so I don't know how good the meat is (I won't visit again to try so good luck to whoever wants to give it a shot). I ordered a "cauliflower steak" that I myself could cook for 2 GBP. I could not believe my eyes when I saw a slice of grilled cauliflower with a side of, wait for it. boiled noodles this is not at all acceptable for a gourmet (or any) restaurant. No taste whatsoever for 40 CHF
I would feel sorry for any vegetarian visiting this restaurant

Wonderful venue in one of the oldest building in the city. The service is very professional and friendly and the food is delicious. The meat dishes are really good but when you are looking for the extra creativity go with the vegetarian menu - that was fantastic.
