Wonderful experience. Hosts have been friendly greeters since 1995. Rooms are clean, quiet and well appointed. Views are spectacular. Walk from the train station or take the Kandersteg bus. Hosts provide a bus pass for use during stay. A summer haven for beautiful walks or serious mountain hikes to Swiss Alpine Club huts. Near UNESCO world heritage area. In winter, come to relax and cross country ski or snowshoe. Breakfast buffet. Restaurant serves delicious meals by eager attentive staff. Samira the cat is a fixture.

Central location on the main street. The restaurant has a very cosy feel. Restaurant was busy but we were able to walk in. Perfectly cooked pork steak and the salmon was excellent also. Very friendly service.

We immediately felt welcome and at home. The food was excellent. The staff went out of their way to help us feel at home and help us make arrangements for our excursions. It was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it to any of my friends.

Welcoming place with wonderful views and excellent food. The hotel cat supervises to ensure top quality is maintained. I doubt you'll regret a stay here.

The Bernerhof Kandersteg is perfectly located. It's a short 5 min walk to the gondola, nearby the grocery store, and train station. The restaurant was great with excellent service.

This hotel is awesome! Great location, view, renovated spacious rooms, friendly owners and staff. The restaurant is excellent too.
What makes this hotel most different to me is the attention to details in every corner. Everything is designed with care to look great and give the guests a sense of comfort and feel-at-home.response / report this review -

Alles super. Essen, Service und Gastgeber sensationell. Das Essen frisch zubereitet und sehr gute Qualität. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hervorragend. Kommen sehr gerne wieder.

This hotel was top notch. You are in the heart of Kandersteg and at the starting point for lots of hiking/skiing adventures. The rooms are good sized and well maintained. The staff is well versed in multiple languages. The restaurant is out of this world good, though pricey. Would definitely stay here again
