OK lodging experience for the price, I suppose. 5 female backpackers with a family room containing two bunk beds and a rollaway cot. Not really room to turn in a circle, along with an epic-ly tiny bathroom. However, we did receive a very warm welcome from a female owner who was dining at the restaurant we ate at, which was very kind. (You receive a 15% discount for being a hotel guest.) The cheese raclette experience was definitely one to remember. I'm giving an extra star than what I should, just for the owner and the restaurant.

It's a very good hotel which is not to far from the train station in luzern and not to far to catch a boat.

Great location as the Hotel is right in the middle of Old Town. The room and bathroom is small but that is typical in Europe. They have an air-conditioner in the room, which is a bit of a novelty and is really useful in the summer as due to global warming (or whatever else) the summers are a lot hotter than they used to be.

Front desk is not 24/7. Staff showed up an hour late from their posted times. Decently clean and very well priced given the location.

We stayed one night at the Hotel Falken on July, 2016. The room is small for a family of two children but the price is reasonable for the hotel on the central old town.
The staffs are helpful and so kind. I made a mistake on my online reservation. Actually, we arrived on Thursday but I booked for Wednesday. The hotel called us at 9:00 PM on Wednesday and accepted changing the date for us. When we arrived, they counted us only one night that we stayed. We are so grateful for this.

We stayed at the Falken Hotel Lucerne June 2012. We got there much later at night than anticipated and we were concerned that we would not have a place to stay. The staff was already off-duty, but had left our key and room number where we could find it. We were so happy that we would not be sleeping in the car and we were so grateful that they were so considerate.
