  Family run hotel, located in the middle of town. Very easy to walk everywhere in town The rooms are a decent size, but are comfortable. There is a bit of confusion with the rooms number, since the hotel has been cobbled together from 2 buildings. When you find it, the breakfast buffet is pretty standard. There is also an in-hotel bar and lounge with balcony to hang out in, including an "honor" beverage bar.
  Neat place to stay in a ski town.

  Convenient location. The hosts are a married couple couple who take turns covering the front desk. I only ever went to the front desk in the morning so only interacted with Toamas(sp?) who was genuinely friendly. If he saw is on our way out he would greet us and inquire about our plans for the day. Often he would ask if he could offer a recommendation. Sometimes it would be for the location itself, other times for a more scenic route to the location. We learned quickly that he was spot on every time.
  Part of the building was built in the 1800's and is charming. Not over flowing with tourists when we were there, but Toamas said Engelberg was capable of going from a population of 4000 to 15000 without skipping a beat​.
  As with most places we stayed, breakfast was not included, but you could add it for10 💶 I think. For my wife and I, we didn't mind. Bakeries are convenient with fresh yummy food and we like trying new things at bakeries.

  We are family of 3 including a child stayed here for 2 nights just one week back. Hotel is located very close to Engelberg train station and cable car station to Mt Titlis. Both are within a kilometer from the Hotel. Guests are treated very nicely by Mr. Thomas and team. Breakfast is good and dining room ambience is excellent.

  Awesome location right in the heart of town and easy walk to the train. Ski rentals a 1 minute walk and the titlis bus arives directly in front of that. The value is the best I've had in a while. Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Great vibe and chalet decor. The single room was a bit small, but fine for me. Hope to visit again soon!

  We just went at the hotel's restaurant: very kind personnel, tasty fondue and raclette, good fresh beer and a reasonable price, being in Engelberg and in Switzerland
