Wow! Beautiful Place up in the Hills over Montreux. Great typical Swiss Food and very very friendly People they do all to make you feel very conftebal. Fantastic view over the Lake Geneva. Come here and do something good for you.

Amazing restaurant, it's a typical chalet in the mountain, but inside there is a touch of lovely modern style. The view is amazing, the staff is really friendly and you can feel very welcome and comfortable. The meals prices are right and they are plentiful. The food is genuine and local. Close to the restaurant there is a train station, it's comfortable if you like drink and feel relaxed, the return fare ticket to Montreux is 9.20 Swiss franc and the last train is at 10:45pm. If you are in Montreux or around I suggest to test this restaurant. I spent a lovely and relaxing dinner at Le Coucou.

Restaurant and service is amazing. Hotel is general. Toilet and shower outside of room on the same floor.
Great lake view from 1150m height.

Beautiful terrace and spectacular view. Easy to access by car or train.
Inside and outside, tables are a bit too close from each other.
Table was ready for our reservation time, however it was not set properly: missing cutlery.
Waiting-time for first order was too long (15 min). Plates for 3 people were missing while eating our starter (planchette to share).
After sunset, temperature does not allow to eat outside, therefore we moved inside which was great!
The portions of our main course were pretty small: CHF 41 for 6 small pieces of "Filets de perche" is a bit abusive.
Once the main courses were served, we felt a bit abandoned. We had to pickup the menu by ourselves to decide whether or not we wanted a dessert as noone came.response / report this review -

Of corse we have to say that the restaurant is located on a beautyful place. But the staff was very unfrienly. We had a little chield with us. He was quied during the hole stay. Even if we had to wait for the food for more than one hour. When we asked for additional drinks they ignored us permanently. I don't know if it was because we had a child with us or because we are from the german part of Switzerland. But even than we spent enough there that we could expect more respect as a customer.

The restaurant had a wonderful homey feel to it. Nice warm atmosphere with large fires and comfortable seats. The food was world class and priced accordingly. Had the carpaccio to start. Easily one of the best I have had. I definitely recommend taking the train up the mountain. Be careful to watch the time though or you may have to stay longer than you expected. The trains only run every hour and some don't come all the way up.
