Reasonably priced hotel for this area. Basic but clean and in a good location in the town centre. Has car parking at rear but only a few mins walk from train/bus station even with suitcase

It might just be this area around here but place has no AC which in the summer time can be tough. No screens on the windows if you open them. Very clean place and they only serve breakfast. Credit cards do no work on vending machine so have cash.

Very friendly staff that are willing to go the extra mile such as providing local guides, recommending great places to eat and things to do.
The rooms look a bit dated but are large, spacious, and well equipped. The bathrooms are fantastic!

So here's the quick facts. The bathroom (in the room) was a really good size, well lit, and the full size bathtub was quite nice. The room was a decent size. I stayed on my own and don't know if there are larger rooms if you're a larger party. In comparison to other hotels I've stayed in across Europe, the bed was a nice size and comfortable.
Now the down sidesI stated here for a week and every morning, there were flies in the food at breakfast. FLIES! Someone from the hotel staff broke a glass bottle in my bathroom and failed to clean it all up. I cut my foot on the last morning I was there.
Overall, the stay is decent and, from what I hear, the best in La Chaux-de-Fonds.just don't eat there.
