Good but nothing special. Location was good - walking distance to the old town, the UN, the red cross museum, the botanic gardens, and not even 5min walk the lake. Surroundings/view nothing special, regular urban area. Room was tidy and clean, and lockers outside the rooms is a good idea. However it was extremely noisy. I am a heavy sleeper and I was woken up several times during the night by the noise from the stairwell. I think it must be the acoustics of the building that echo heaps and any clanging of lockers or doors or talking was loud even through closed room door. And I don't think it was people being loud that was the issue. Bathrooms were clean and functional. Service was very friendly, and check in and check out was a breeze. Left my bags there before and after my stay for a few hours and there were no issues. Buffet breakfast was pretty good for buffet breakfasts, especially as it was included in the room price. Bread, butter, ham, jam, cheese, yoghurt, cereals, coffee, apples. Overall pretty decent, and cheaper than a thing else I found in Geneva, but nothing wonderful or special.

A nice budget dormitory ideal for solo travellers. Nice staff and secure. However, it has a lot of people if you don't mind.

The hostel was very nice and clean. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was really good! Definitely recommended if you're looking for something cheap in Geneva

Couldn't decide whether to award 3 or 4 stars but have awarded 4 stars due to the great prices. Rooms were ok but a bit rough round the edges but well served for power sockets which was useful with 6 people in a room! The communal toilets were remarkably clean and I often saw them being cleaned but were a little dated. The eating area was extremely nice and well furnished. Just a shame more money hand not been put into the food which was a tad poor and very basic. Overall, a cheap and cheerful hostel where you get what you pay for. P.s, never be without your room card as you can't do anything without it!

Student rooms have fairly cramped rooms with small bunk beds but with a useful safe for storage. Other than a sink or two in the room it is necessary to cross the corridor to go to the toilet. Breakfast is fairly mediocre consisting of a couple of cereal and other basic foods and tea/coffee or orange juice. The hostel is located close to the city centre with is useful for getting a tram or finding somewhere to eat.

Rooms of the 6th floor were lovely with good facilities and a balcony. The place was very clean and the breakfast was good, if a limited choice. The bedsheets could be greatly improved from the current towel-like material. Generally a good stay.

The hostel itself is good for the price. But living in a hostel is like opening a chocolate box, you'll never know what your next roommate is like. I came across a guy who smells like a rotten salmon smoked with tobacco and marinade in sweat for two years. The guy snored like crazy at night, and those snored from his big body had those low frequency that you cannot easily block by your hand. It penetrated and vibrated your body! Another guy at the same night come back at 2am. Every hostel should have a blacklist for those who disturbing others.

The place is tidy, and gives you enough space to store your belongings. There is however an excessive use of electronic key cards, as you need to bring it with you wherever you go, even in the bathroom. Prices are OK for Swiss standards, and staff on the whole are pleasant.

The food wasn't particularly great, but the building itself is quite nice and modern. There is also plenty of space to store your luggage: They have an underground storage room and next to each room there is a bunch of large lockers. There is also a nice outdoor area to sit. Some rooms have an absolutely beautiful view of the lake whereas some others have a pretty bad view. Overall it's not too bad and would recommend for people on a budget.

I stayed at the hostel for 3 nights. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the hostel. It's a "hostel", but it sure doesn't feel like one, it feels like a luxurious 3 star hotel, with nice enough rooms.
Not too keen on the shared bathrooms per floor though, but to be fair everything is nicely locked with amazing key card locks, safe and secure.

100% would stay there again if I'm ever back in Geneva.

Stayed in a twin room ensuite. Beds were basic but adequate. Breakfast was simple but plenty of it. Decided not to try evening meals. Location is superb, really handy for the waterfront and walking distance from the main train station.

Very conveniently located. Food is very basic and limited (but what you would expect from a hostel). Top floor rooms are pleasant with an excellent view of the lake. Staff excellent. Only issue is if you get a particularly rowdy group of school children staying it can be loud at night.

The place is clean with good bathrooms and reasonable bedding. It has rooms of four or six with a reasonable breakfast served on the ground floor (but that costs more). It's in a good location as it's very close to the train station. The only downside is that there are no bins in the rooms

Best hostel stay I've had! Very clean, beds are big enough for those of us 1,95m+ Breakfast was nothing fancy, but enough to get a good breakfast and you're not going to find a breakfast on town for the price.

I'd HIGHLY recommend Geneva Hostel
