All Swiss Railways discount cards and deals can be applied including the Swiss Pass, half-fare and junior cards. The views are spectacular during autumn and winter. It's the most beautiful rail tour in Switzerland.

A truly breathtaking train journey along the Swiss Alps! It was a remarkable experience, for me, the best in the world (better than Glacier & Golden Pass)! Beauty of Swiss combined with great engineering! Right from the time we start at Chur all the way to Tirano it was awesome! Especially through the Grison alps.

Sono bellissimi i panorami è un esperienza megnifico. C'è da vedere per tutto il viaggio. È comido su il treno. Fino a Tirano ci sono i boni posti da mangiare. There are beautiful views and it is a wonderful ezperience. There are things to see for the entire trip. The train is comfortable. When you arrive there are lots of good places to eat.

As great as advertised. We went from Tirano, Italy, to Chur (and then on to Zurich). Unending fabulous views of dramatic alps and lovely alpine meadows. Highly recommended.

Came mid-April and there was still a decent amount of snow near the top, but the surrounding area had melted to show lush green surrounding areas. We sprang for the panoramic cars and this trip did not disappoint. Well worth shelling out the money for this.

We set off with already high expectations but our journey on the Bernina Express was more wonderful than anything we could have imagined. It combines the wonder of engineering with the wonder of the Swiss mountains. Some of the unforgettable sights and moments for us included our train plunging through snow, turning a full circle and climbing into the realms of glaciers.

Train ride to die for!!! We were staying on Lake Como, Italy and that alone was heaven! Our hosts recommended the Bernina Express or the Red Train as the locals call it (the train is painted red). We took short Italian train to a town in Switzerland for transfer onto a motor coach bus to climb (and I to mean climb) up to St. Moritz. We then took the red train back down to Tirano and train back to Como. The train goes through many circular tunnels and at one point does a complete circle as it cork screws down the mountain. Very much worth the ride. Planning on doing it again in 2017 with our friends.
