We have been regulars as long as I can remember. The quality of their service and food is always stupendous. It is one of the few nice restaurants in Saskatoon that is reliable.

A nice experience overall. I ordered a Steak and Shrimp meal and enjoyed it. The "medium rare" steak was a little bloody for my tastes though.

My only complaint is that the value proposition (ie: amount of food per $) is not too great for this price point. Aside from that it was solid.

The prime rib was excellent. The bread and the garlic butter were both tasteless and not good at the beginning of the meal but the prime rib and the garlic potatoes made up for it. Good ambiance

Unbelievable consistency. One of the most dependable upscale places to eat in Saskatoon. Always great service. Unfortunately, it's only blemish is that it just doesn't ever do anything to go beyond "very good". Because over time, very good can get boring. I would love to want to go back every month or 2 just to see what's new and exciting, and maybe "exceptional"!

    Mixed:
Came in to the strong smell of seafood. Most seafood restaurants have ventilation that avoids this smell
Service was good and friendly and the decor was clean and appeals to those who the restaurant targets.

We ordered a mixed seafood plate, which was good, though had to order lemon to bring out flavour, overall it was average but on the cold side.
Also ordered prime rib where there was a few issues
Almost zero au jus sauce was on the plate, making it a bit dry so had to order more. However seems that the new sauce had a different taste then the existing one leading to some odd mix of flavours. The new sauce was also cold, as in less than room temperature making it less appealing on the meat. The garlic potatoes were rather boring and very low on garlic, the vegetables were flavourless as though they were bowled then roasted.

Also a curiosity was that the steak knife brought to the table was not sealed in the handle. This meant that despite repeated wiping, water (I hope it was water) kept leaking out of the handle into the hand that was holding the knife. Ended up using the knife that came with the cutlery to better effect
Also expect for the prices paid that soup or salad would have been included with the meal as it is at most places that serve this type of fare.

Love the atmosphere and food. Quieter alternative to the keg. Definitely try the prime rib.

Thia is the second time we been here. Last time the food was excellent. My order last time was Seafood brochette. It was very good with fully flavor and fresh. I came back and ordered same thing but it was awful , no flavor no salty and the rice was not cook well done. I left over half of my meal. The sever was very nice no complaints at all. I just hope i can get same taste like the first time if we come back

The best place to get prime rib. A varied and tasty menu with first-class service. Quiet and cozy. Great place for that special celebration.

Good place for a nice meal. Pretty cool atmosphere and the food is pretty good. A bit on the more expensive side but not totally unreasonable. The staff is very nice and polite too.

Great food, been here twice now. Prime rib is excellent, as is the chicken and crab. Asparagus was overcooked, I expect asparagus to be vibrant and crisp, not dull and soft. Otherwise excellent, and a great atmosphere. The salad wagon is a good value.

My wife and I have been coming to the Ganary for many years now. It has always been our go to place for great food, atmosphere and service. Tonight not so much. Te service was very unusual. We waited for 10 minutes before seeing a waiter at our table. After we ordered our drinks and meals we were served promptly. Our main course was a different story. We waited for over a half hour to see our waiter and ten asked when we would be sewing our meal and were told a couple of minutes. Shortly after we were served our main course. As usual the food was fantastic. The service that we have come to expect was just not there. I find it a little annoying to have to fight for service and space with the managers and staff coming off duty and eating and drinking at the bar. This is not something we ever see at other fine establishments we frequent in town. I hope things get better. We may be back, but I dont know when.

This is one of the classic upscale restaurants in town. Good selection, very good food. Quite pricy, and the food doesn't always match the prices. Nice prairie decor. A great place to celebrate a special occasion. I almost always have the prime rib, and am never disappointed.

    Great atmosphere.
    Delicious food.
    Fantastic service.

Another positive is that it is not just a large open dining room. This makes it much more quiet and intimate compared to other steak restaurants in the area.

This is usually my first choice if I want a steak cooked correctly.

It's a bit more expensive than some of the other similar restaurants in the area but you get what you pay for.
