I felt completely safe and relatively comfortable in the Cona Hostel. It is situated in a very convient and safe part of town. The view of the river was extremely nice and I was releived to be so close to the main transit stop and 5th street.

Got to say after backpacking Europe, and south america this was close to the worst hostel. Was told that check in is 4pm. No one there, finally called emergency line 5:30pm. Finally someone showed up around 6pm. Nice guy but he takes us to our room and its covered in beer bottles and he is like sorry guess its not clean. Come back later. O ya and your shower is broken. Biggest issue with this hostel is no owner/manager anywhere. Can't expect much with no one making sure things are cleaned, fixed or people are doing their jobs.

Just stayed at the Cona Hostel while on a snowboard trip to Mount Washington.
The snow wasn't the best this weekend, but the hostel was rockin'. Clean, great vibe, and friendly staff. Will definitely stay again.response / report this review
