Food was really good and the selection was broad. 5 stars for the blend of great service, and casual atmosphere. Great for groups, kids (early evening), but I can also see it as a fun date place.

After being seated and ignored for fifteen minutes, Cathi took over for our server and got our order. She was very attentive and knowledgeable. My husband really enjoyed the duck nuts, but the apple Bourbon bbq wings were soggy and lacked flavor. Cathi brought a finger bowl for the wings, which was a very nice touch.

We stopped for dinner here after a day hike and what a great decision it was! Everyone loved their food!

I had the steak which came less cooked than I had ordered for (I wanted medium rare) and they were very nice and cooked it a little longer, and came perfectly medium rare. They apologized because this was a thicker cut than usual, and I was more than happy because the flavour was just on point!

Cathy our server was lovely! She took great care of our group of six and that's something that makes the difference. Thank you Cathy, you were awesome and made the entire experience an amazing one.

Definitely adding the Tavern 1883 to our mountains adventure. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.

Food and service was awesome. Loved the roasted vegetable salad. Great selection of beer. Waitresses were really sweet and customer centric. VERY disappointed the live music didn't start on time. We ended up having to leave before it even started.

Our server was very friendly and was great about topping up our water and drinks which was much appreciated after a day of hiking. We all had burgers, they were very good. Great patio. The only odd thing was how pervasive the smell of truffle oil was throughout the restaurant.

Food was great. Gnocchi with pesto was nicely prepared. Restaurant is casual and busy, RSVPs are suggested if you don't want to wait. Service was leisurely because of crowd to staff ratio but that was fine for us. Ambiance is rustic hip.

Delicious pub food with a slightly elevated take. The lamb burger, pork belly tacos and truffle max & cheese were all delicious. Drink specials were a decent price for doubles too. The portions of food were quite large the price too and we all left full.

Quite the wait and very busy for dinnertime, but our server was still attentive and efficient. The music selection playing was not great and very loud which made conversation hard as we honestly couldn't hear anything. It was only 7pm at night, so the loud music seemed a but much. We were directly under a speaker and after asking if the volume could be turned down a bit (it kept being turned back up) we asked to be moved. Despite how busy it was they were understanding and quick to accomodate us, which we really appreciated!

    Will definitely be back!

This place was a second choice for tonight's meal but in pleasantly surprised with the food. Pictures show the ordered pork belly tacos and truffle mac and cheese. Next time I'd order the tacos on your bread as the corn bread was chewy. The mac was very delicious to the mouth and was a very decent portion. Beer selection was average and they only had a few local crafts. Staff was friendly but my hard to find waitress was not fun.

Very cool bar with good food and beer. We went on a busy night, so service was a little slower than desired, but good nonetheless. Food is slightly expensive for pub fare, but that's expected in a location such as canmore. Good beer selection available. Fun place with a good atmosphere and live music at night.

My wife and I wanted a good pub burger and we got it! The place was packed but within 10 minutes of ordering, our food came! The beef on our burgers was amazing. Great service!

Open mic night was actually awesome. Great server - had pretty much the whole bar to herself and we never had an empty glass. Highly recommend.

Great menu! Menu is not your typical tavern menu. Sure their pub-like food is top notch, but we also had the Pan Seared Gnocchi and it was amazing!
