Vacation is no excuse to let fitness slip, this was the nearest gym to my hotel, staff are average, gym is meticulously well kept with great equipment but the patrons are rude, stuck up and unfriendly. As someone who has been weightlifting half my life I haven't encountered such a pretentious mob in such a friendly city.
Great for a workout, Don't expect to make friends.
Given the limited offerings in downtown, this gym will do the trick for weightlifters and bodybuilders. Powerlifters would be disappointed, but then again Vancouver isn't known to have many gyms suited for that. It can get quite dirty - although it is luxe compared to the Yaletown and Davie locations. It's got TRX, a variety of squat racks, bumper plates - and dumbbells go up to 125 if my memory serves me right.
This is honestly the best REAL gym in downtown (aka not training studio) - trust me, I've tried them all.
It's been my go-to gym for about two years. For the most part it's been great. The equipment is well-maintained and there is a lot of it. Even on busy times, like after work, there are lots of options. The morning is probably the busiest, so be prepared for a wait for the shower. The classes I've only taken a few. I've tried different yoga classes and it was pretty advanced, without a ton of different modifications, so it is hard. I think you have to be careful with your body and know your limits. I've also had a trainer for the past year. They are expensive, and there is lots of turn-over. I get the sense the mgmt isn't that friendly to their trainers but I'm not a trainer. On the plus side, the trainers I've had have been great. But I've got through 3 in the past year . (No, not because of me!) I think the best deal is the yearly deal around now at holidays or the summer deal, both of which are the cheapest deals in the year.
By far the best fitness club in town. Spacious and never too crowded. The rich variety of equipment is always maintained and updated on a regular basis.
One of the best gyms in the city hands down! Facilities are clean, staff are friendly and I love the range of equipment.
My only complaints are there is no tire and I wish the Jacob's ladder machine worked.
Not enough to dock points though - this gym rules!
The sales staff will routinely do their best to gouge you for money however they can. DO NOT LET THEM. HAGGLE. READ WHAT YOU'RE SIGNING. When I cancelled my membership after two years, the manager purposefully had me check and sign all parts of the form EXCEPT the final signature located in the middle of the form. Had to go back and cancel the membership a second time, otherwise they'd keep charging me. Great gym otherwise. Great equipment. Clean. Quite outside of 4:00 to 7:00pm when everyone gets off work and at goes to the gym.
Staff all have snobby and unfriendly attitudes. The only exception to this is a guy named Shayan. The rest of the staff, both at counters and membership services are stuck up. The cleaning staff have poor attitudes as wellgood luck!!!
The location is great, very central. The facility itself is pretty clean and nice; best steve nash location as far as the facility goes
IMPROVE YOUR FRIENDLINESS OF YOUR STAFF PLEASE!
Great equipment recently renovated. Love the towel service.
The site maintenance can improve. Lunch time classes are great. Showers and clean towels provided complimentary.
Large gym, friendly staff and lots of equipment. After work rush can be pretty busy but mornings and evenings are great.
Whole place is well put together, still has that new feel to it. Clean and organized for the most part. Staff are pretty nice and most of friendly but some use the facilities and hound you for equipment which is odd. And I'm not taking about trainers on the clock.
Includes two floors, one floor dedicated to cardio, second floor is mainly weights and some cardio and finally an all womens section on the third floor. and sauna too. this is the executive location so if you have a regular membership you cannot access this site you need to pay more.
This location is the most expensive Steve Nash gym, but there aren't many cheaper options downtown. Equipment is basic but adequate, and there's enough of it that I usually don't have to wait for more than a minute or two to use what I want. Towel service is a nice perk.
Very large gym! I love coming here! I'm not a fan of the locker system.
