Great deli but the worst customer service behind it. I've been ignored there for the last time. Yesterday one of the employees behind the deli was standing in the middle of the floor, chatting away to other employees who were actually working, and flapping her arms while she had a large plastic bag wrapped around her. She ignored the call for help from the lone woman that was serving a customer in front of me, and when the bag lady finally looked over 2 minutes later and made eye contact with me, she ignored me and kept chatting away and flapping her arms. I'll happily drive the extra five mins to Co-op or Safeway from now on, starting today. I've been ignored while standing at the counter before, but this one takes the prize. Bye Sobeys!

Great market, especially since they expanded and renovated this location a few years ago! The new deli and quick meals section is great.

I hate the layout of the store. It forces you to walk through a few departments before you can find the actual groceries. I was going to ask if they sold actual groceries.
They are constantly doing shelf reigns and often products are not on the shelves. The staff doing these set ups don't work for the store and not helpful.
I wanted to ask the manager about some shelf staples out of stocks and the Sobeys staff told me to go stand in line at the customer service till to have him paged. It was 3pm and he was not in the store. I left my cart of groceries and left, went to Superstore where they had everything, cheaper and a normal store layout.
Trouble is that I live in Strathcona and I will now drive 10X as far, but lower my stress level.

I would shop more at this Sobeys if it weren't for the wonky layout of the store. This Sobeys is within walking distance of my home, I instead drive to the Co-op because it is easier to navigate and find the items I came for. It may seem trendy to Sobeys to have such an elaborate store layout, but for the average shopper, its more of a hassle.

I checked out this supermarket as a local choice in comparison to the Safeway nearest the Aspen Woods house where I stay. It turns out to be a near carbon copy in terms of stock and pricing, which stands to reason since the two markets are co-owned. Both markets are large and complete. In the not too distant past they lowered their prices generally since they were likely losing business and functioning more as convenience stores where people would do most of their grocery shopping at SuperStore or Walmart for decent prices.

Clean, quiet location. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and the deli/bakery counters are always stocked with delicious options. Produce is fresh, and store has an all around welcoming feel.

This is no ordinary groceries store. The place has recently been renovated to take you through the store like a maze. It was different which was cool but it was difficult getting used to the new style of grocerie store. 4 stars!

The staff at Sobeys are friendly and knowledgeable however the prices for products are usually way more than other grocery stores. I will usually shop at Sobeys for small things because of convenience but I won't do my weekly grocery shopping here.

I didn't really mind for the change that this Sobeys did with the store layout. But now that it's finally finished and fine tuned, it's honestly not all that bad. I question the whole bagging area with the round-about type bags But I only visited the store during the calmer hours. Still a fine selection of items for a decent price. No self checkouts at this location though.
