As an 'on-the-go-team', we rely heavily on mobile technology and are no strangers to neck-strain. We spend long hours on our feet and in vehicles, putting our bodies through the wringer in order to deliver top-notch results to our valued clients. Skill is a large part of providing successful results in all of our projects, equally important though is the physical health of the team. Staying strong and healthy is intrinsic to all we do and is what allows us to get up and do what we love every day. We can definitely appreciate the work Chiropractors like Dr. Li and his team at Hampton Wellness Centre undertake. Here are some quick tips for our fellow construction professionals and screen-slaves alike to prevent strain, and keep up with work-on-the-go. 'Protect ya neck!' people! Check out our completed renovation project 11 Paula Crescent on Houzz!
Our Construction Lead had in mind to create a place of fun, of rest and of relaxation on this project, and from his vision the extensively renovated 11 Paula was born. 11 Paula Crescent is a large, executive two-story home in the sought after Shehan Estates neighbourhood of Ottawa. Making this residential home on a quiet cul-de-sac feel like a private oasis was one of our goals and we are proud to say we achieved it. Some of our favourite features in this four bedroom, three and a half bathroom home include the premium oak engineered hardwood flooring and the custom quartzite countertops throughout the main and second floors. We opened up the main floor, increasing natural light and space, making it the perfect combination for time with family, for entertaining, or for both. A newly installed main-floor laundry room with custom cabinetry and appliances is hidden away from guest view yet accessible and convenient for use. The custom stone accents in the home are absolutely stunning and include the exterior, two rich columns on the main floor, an entire stone wall housing the natural gas fireplace in the living room, and a floor to ceiling natural gas fireplace in the master bedroom. One of our most pride-filled pieces of the project is the kitchen. The kitchen plays well in the open floor plan and is a central feature in the home. The built-in stainless steel appliances and custom cabinetry with clean modern lines really complete the design. The master bedroom features a spa-like ensuite bathroom including a his and her vanity with underlit and recessed lighting, and a stunning glass enclosed walk-in shower with a multi-function shower tower. The large finished basement now houses the perfect environment for socializing with the installed wet-bar, cabinetry, and island. Two rooms and a full bathroom compliment the area offering storage, privacy, and added space. In addition to the amazing features and finishes, a large and private back yard with a custom interlock terrace truly make this house feel like a home, and we couldn't be any happier with the finished product. 11 Paula, like all of our projects, is built-to-last and to make the homeowner proud for years to come. We are proud to put the Shantz Construction brand behind this project and thoroughly enjoyed transforming this dated house into a beautiful home.
