50-50 gutshot if you're looking for fresh produce or consistent fruit. 10 registers and only 2 open Including express. Seniors make regular trips by bus and the stores scheduler either hasn't caught on or doesn't mind customers waiting. If you're getting lunch meat bring a book to read while you wait. Gone way down hill since the Loblaws buyout, like night and day.
2 stars because the original staff was so awesome for so many years and should've got 5,but the store itself looks more like giant tiger these days. It's probably more the fault of Walmart than safeway, but it's brutal now.response / report this review -

Never thought I'd get a pre-seasoned piece of meat from a store but in a pinch we grabbed the Maple Chipotle Glazed Pork Tenderloin and it was amazing, Literally unwrap, pop in the over for half an hour, sit with tin foil for 10-15mins and Voila!!
Only wish I could have taken a picture!!
I did however make homemade Mac cheese with large shells, everything bought from my good ole Safewayresponse / report this review -

I like going here as the staff are very friendly and helpful. Not a lot of options in terms of groceries for other ethnicities though.

Great bread/pastry department. Always lots of easy parking. Starbucks attached and an L.C., quite perfect.

Giant tiger is a great place to find comfortable clothing and also plus size clothing. Safeway is also quite convenient if you can't go to superstore.

Convenient, clean, friendly and the product prices are competitive. Safeway has always provided a great selection of products and doesn't seem to not stock "named" brands in favour of their in store brands. I've become a familiar face in the store and get treated the same as if I was new; always friendly.

Been going here my whole life. Always have a sale or two and they price competitively. Safeway was bought out by Sobey's and ever since then they've only gotten better. There are some really creepy cashiers and the staff have a tendency to talk to each other instead of the customer. But overall the staff is decent.
