I want to take this opportunity to thank the Constable that allowed my son to use his cell phone during an unfortunate time in my sons life. Thank you so much for giving him that one call Sir. We always hear much negativity towards our police force and this is just one of many examples of empathy that exists amongst our policing staff!

I will give 0 star if that is option.

My family not just not getting helped, officer actually harm us by bias by abusive father who been abuse my 4 years old. Officer kept my 4 years for 2 hours in a room without giving him any water and break. That officer said she was "trained", what on earth a trained professional will kept a minor for 2 hours straight?

My boy already gone through a lot. He has been abused by his father and we have physical evidence, hospital report, child and youth worker report and also psychologist report. We can also prove father lies all the time even in court. Officer refused to get those information and evidences which will be bad to the abusive father. Treating me and 4 years as criminals, helping the wrong side. That officer only doing this job for 2 years without proper training and ignored the facts and all the professional reports then came out a report causing more harm to my family.

I will never forget when I told her I have evidences to prove that abusive father is lie all the time and she said " I do not care." That is the service quality we received of RCMP out there who getting pay by our tax money and wear a name call "RCMP". However, for other hard working RCMP officer, we gave you highest respect for you officers who care for us and try to make world peace. God bless you!

My family did not get helped and when I tried to speak to the supervisor I was given the same offensive officer to deal with. Being stuck with that officer has caused more harm and they need to have better recourse across "jurisdictions" in the GVRD. My family needed them to actually follow their own mandates and protocols and they failed. He could have saved my family from abuse and he failed

The RCMP did a commendable job on the two people who were refusing to obey their instructions. Doesn't matter if they were elderly, white, black or whatever. They were asked several times to comply with the officer's requests and refused to, simple as that. They brought on what transpired. Not the other way around. For a bystander not to step in and control the child seems ludicrous. Really ? The job of the RCMP is already hard enough without the ridicule of many of you. In your time of need, may they be far away from helping you or your family. I encourage all others who support the RCMP to speak up NOW ! It is time to push back, speak out and defend the men and women of the RCMP. Pls do it !

I know there are a lot of officers that contribute so much to the safety of our community. It's a shame that too many officers who believe they are above and beyond the law tarnish all the good that's done in the community. With that said, the RCMP needs to do a better job when it comes to recruiting their officers and need to make their officers significantly more accountable for their conduct on and off duty

Biggest COWARDS in the Lower Mainland. Those 2 officers, man handling a frail senior couple, set your reputation back decades!!! Those 2 should publicly apologize to the couple and take major compassion training. This could have been any of our loved senior family members. Cowards!!!

I've just read the news article regarding two RCMP officers in Coquitlam forcing two elderly people down two flights of steps and as a member of the Canadian Public I need to say that I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED by this shameful act of these two RCMP officers. I guess it is no wonder why the RCMP don't like people recording this.

As a Canadian, I am absolutely Ashamed. I know that there are really good people working as RCMP officers and what they have to deal with on a daily basis is insurmountable. However; how can we trust and respect this institution when these crimes happen against the public ?

I also understand that I am receiving one side of a story. I am sure those elderly people were unruly. However; (and this is a big one): what I witnessed in that video was nothing short of assault by those officers. If you can't pick up an elderly person by yourself, it's probably time to pick another vocation or call for back up.

Last night I witnessed a great act by the Coquitlam RCMP. An elderly lady who spoke no English had become lost in our market.Our store called the non emerg line to request assistance to locate her family. The produce manager downloaded and APP on his phone and had the woman speak into it, turns out she was Russian. When the RCMP arrived, she was a little frightened and not cooperating. The 1st officer on duty called into their dispatch to request the assistance of an officer who spoke Russian. After a two hour ordeal, and a Russian speaking officer now on scene they were able to locate some family members. They went above and beyond for this frightened woman. This was pretty awesome to witness first hand.
