We had a family reunion here a couple of years ago and it was a great place. The staff were friendly. They were able to accommodate us all. The large house with the yard was perfect for the huge family dinner, games and visiting.

Beautifully tucked in one of the most gorgeous spots on the Island. Owner is a wonderful lady and management is fantastic here. Highly recommend.

Told us our campsites were designated by a picnic table and that we couldn't have our tent where it was. When we questioned why the other site we'd also got didn't have a picnic table, she told us people move them? She then placed another tent between ours and the river (despite there being no site there), even though we'd reserved river-front sites. By the way, a site was big enough for a 4-man dome tent and the picnic table (if you were lucky enough to get one). We had to hike our stuff down a muddy slope to even get to the sites. We also had to argue with her because the site said nothing about paying for extra adults, but apparently anything over 2 per site was an extra charge. When we told her that Perry's (save your sanity and go there) didn't charge extra, she phoned to check then reluctantly gave in. We didn't make use of anything besides our tents for sleeping because we felt so unwelcome (and cramped!), so no idea of amenities.

Staff was extremely rude to us over a misunderstanding. No where on the booking page does it say max one tent per site or max 4 people, it actually asks you to choose between 1-9 people and that's it. They were going to kick us out for breaking this rule that is only listed in the terms and conditions on completely separate page and were refusing to even refund the night. They finally let us stay after discussing for awhile, which we appreciated, but I would never go back.

Apparently this has always been a rule, but we've booked 1 site with four or five tents for years and years, and we know many other people that do. It seems rules are only enforced at this camp site if people complain. Another group which had booked in person ( so they were told the rule) complained they couldn't have multiple tents, and suddenly this was a big enough issue we had to either put 6 people in one tent or leave. Yet other rules like groups playing music and partying til 2 am, with a quiet time of 10pm were fine since no one complained. make all rules clear on the booking page and enforce them, or don't pick and choose when they apply.

Stayed here a couple of years ago and enjoyed it, so came back and stayed in the same type of unit, a 2 bedroom mobile home. Wasn't as pleased as last visit. The unit #17 isn't level, with a definite slant in the front/kitchen area. That resulted in major vertigo problems for me for the duration of my stay. The deck definitely needs work and was soft in a number of areas. Interior was decently clean but exterior needed attention for cobwebs and bee hive. We didn't have hot water the first day and were told to flip the switches we could find and they knew it was acting up. We managed to fix it. Kitchen is decently stocked and you can get by with the supplies. The river is quite nice. Sandy beach area and room to play. I can't say that i would come back as I will remember the vertigo most prominently. Perhaps this wouldn't bother others but it sure did for me.

Stayed two nights in a deluxe cottage with 4 people and 2 dogs (but it can sleep 6 people). We chose riverbend cottages specifically for its dog friendliness and proximity to the beach. The cottage is extremely nice and clean with 2 bedrooms. Bathroom floor and kitchen floor are heated and every room has its own thermostat. The cottage has cable, wifi, gas fireplace, bathroom, full kitchen, and a pull out couch. There is a river about 3 minute walk away that is perfect for summer swimming and the beach is about 5 minues by car.

For an RV park it is quite nice. A good family venue with a nice park area for little ones and a sandy beach. Good bathroom facilities.
