Came here for the brunch buffet, for under 20 bucks a person you get soo much Japanese comfort food! Great way to sample their menu. Service was quick and efficent, bit of a tight squeeze for seating, this place gets busy. They have daily specials that I will definately come back for . Their Curry rice makes me miss my Japan trip. Now if they start doing ramen . This place would be unstoppable

Really quirky restaurant located in the beltline. The Japanese curries are fantastic. I recommend going for their brunch where you can try a bit of everything on the menu for under $20, including coffee. The service is friendly and prompt.

My boyfriend and I came for the weekend brunch buffet ($18.99 / person). Everything was delicious! We were new to this restaurant, so we decided to go for the brunch buffet to try a variety of dishes. Our favourite was the katsu curry, French toast, japa burger and home made ice cream! The restaurant is super efficient - we started getting the items we ordered within minutes (but we were also the only ones there at that time).
Overall, I would recommend this dainty place to everyone who wants to try some Japanese fusion cuisine.response / report this review -

Amazing alternative Japanese cuisine. Authentic and delicious and very reasonable prices. Best tonkatsu I've had in a while, moist inside and crispy on the outside. Spam and egg Japa burger was super yummy and filling. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back to try other items! Oh and they make delicious coffee and lattes!

amazing food. friendly staff. i advise to try the katsu curry for your first dish, just spectacular!! the rice sandwiches are a great go to as well. i found the salmon one just a bit on the salty side but other then that they are filling and delicious. prices are decent and i recommend this cafe :)

I love the Japa Rice Burgers! This is the only place I've been able to find them since my trip to Japan and they are just as good! Overall this place has a great take on Japanese cuisine and I always stop in when I'm nearby.

Portions here are massive and the food is SO good. It is affordable and a clean environment. Their cold ramen is delicious. My friend got the rice with the curry and that was also delicious. Food came out super fast, I would definitely come back in a heartbeat!

Where do I begin? The food was fantastic, the portion size was massive, and the price was so low I couldn't believe it! I am seriously wanting to become a regular here. The staff were also some of the nicest people I've met at a cafe/restaurant. 100% recommending to anyone that likes Japanese food.

If you are feeling adventurous, head over to this place for some Japanese interpretation of western food. They also have Ramen but I would recommend trying other items before resorting back to some traditional Japanese food at this restaurant.

I mostly hit Redheads for lunch (to go) and there's nowhere else in Calgary that serves dishes quite like Redheads. Traditional Japanese fare with American options and a few original creations (try the Japa burger) as well!
The staff are always friendly and the food is always very good.

Went there with some friends on a Tuesday night. I ordered a Japa Bowl which was delicious. It came in a generous portion, very fragrant and tasty. Although I only ordered the Japa Bowl ($12.99) everything on the menu seemed very reasonably priced. Service was very friendly and quick.

Lots of reasons to love this place. You can have a quick bite or a big meal. If you like Japanese curry this place will not disappoint. Bento box is a favourite. Friendly service and they are quick!
