RCMP Onion Lake Break and Enter and Attempted Sexual Assault
Onion Lake RCMP with the assistance of General Investigation and Forensic Identification Sections from North Battleford have been investigating a break and enter and attempted sexual assault in the Onion Lake area in December, 2017. At that time, a female in her 70’s awoke in her residence to find an adult male inside her bedroom between 5 and 6 am. The male attempted to sexually assault the woman, but she was able to deter him until someone else came to the residence and knocked on the front door to visit. The male then fled out the rear of the residence.
There have been extensive efforts to identify the male and several interviews have been conducted to eliminate possible suspects.
The suspect is described as less than 5’6’’ inches tall and very thin build.
A sketch was prepared by an RCMP Forensic Artist with the assistance of the victim. The sketch is being released publicly to seek the public’s assistance to identify the suspect.

Today we Remember. The Remembrance Day service in Lloydminster will take place at the Lloyd Comp High School in the J. J. Giesbrecht auditorium beginning at 10:45 this morning. Please be in your seat by 10:30. If you can’t make it to the service, we invite you to join us for a special program. William Adair fought in World War 2. He shared his experiences with his granddaughter, Heather Klages, and wanted to share them with as many people as he could. He passed away earlier this year but his story lives on. Join us for his memories at 11 this morning as we pay tribute to war veterans and all who sacrifice for our freedom.

Breaking: The Lloydminster Classic Oilfield Bandits have relieved Head Coach & GM Ryan Early and Assistant Coach Steve Kisser of their duties. Mike Clague has been appointed Head Coach along with Assistant Coaches Corey Dallyn and Russel Leer. The Bandits next home game is November 18th against Vegreville.

The Salvation Army Christmas Hamper applications are starting this week at 2302 53 Avenue in Lloydminster. Applications will be accepted November 6, 8, 20, 22 from 9am-12pm and 1pm-3pm. There is also an evening application time on November 20 from 6-8pm. YOU NEED TO BRING: 1) Photo ID 2) Proof of residence (Utility Bill or Rental agreement with you name or address on it) 3) Children's Health Care cards
The hampers include all the ingredients for a full turkey dinner and another regular hamper. It is first come first serve, no appointment necessary and qualifications are determined at the registration case by case.
