Great little museum. Very informative and interesting displays. Really well designed setting. Only thing missing is more of everything. Hard to spend more than an hour unless you watch the 40 min movie, too.

The museum is awesome with lots of hands on interactive features. Really an Alberta focused dinosaur history. Fair price but once you've been once or twice you won't feel the need to go back unless you're super nerdy.

Small, but lots of hands on activities. My kids (ages 8 and 4) loved the dinosaur dig site, the microscope and especially the playground. Definitely a fun experience.

I was told that this museum was on par with the Royal Tyrell in Drumheller but wow, it is not. I didn't see a single map in the entire building and there didn't seem to be much in the way of ages for any of the dinosaurs. It's like if a museum were made by a design firm and an oil company and not any real scientists.

One quarter of the museum was dedicated to oil extraction and included lead ins like "Fracking, or hydraulic fracturing, is a safe method of extracting oil from the ground." A statement which seems highly contested all over North America and which makes me afraid to drink the water in the Grande Prairie area.

The augmented reality section was neat but not worth $14.

Heyyo, fantastic museum that both locals and tourists need to visit! Some neat dinosaur bones and species lots of good things to learn such as I had no idea that Edmonton was actually named after a bedrock sharing the name. The restaurant was good and the waitress was kind In fact? All the staff was very friendly and smiles and helpful. Great experience

Great use of newer technology to help people interact with the museum. A bit small and once you've seen the main exhibits, I can't see much point of coming back often. There's a large section that I assume was sponsored by the oil companies as it speaks a bit more about the oil/natural gas industry and tries to tie it together with the dinosaur themes but may seem over the top for certain people.
Perhaps expanding on their temporary exhibits and shows more would help bring people from the region back in more often?

This place was unexpected. We were visiting Grande Prairie from the US and there is not a lot there. Big place but all business. The Currie Dinosaur Museum is attached to an active bone dig nearby and evolves as things are discovered. It tells an incredible story about not only dinosaurs but of all that goes with them including how fossil fuels developed and how they are extracted. The museum itself is a good afternoon stay with a lot to read, explore, and understand. I left with more knowledge and understanding than I went in with.

A wonderful attraction for the area! A great assortment of well laid out exhibits with lots of interactive features. The kids had lots of fun checking things out, especially the stuff specifically geared for a younger audience. We opted out of the movie as it didn't seem too dinosaur relevant. Total time to tour ourselves around was around 90 minutes. We're a big geeky dinosaur family, but we probably wont be back for a year or two or until there are new exhibits or features. It's unfortunate that some things were already showing signs of wear when the museum has been open less than a year. Dining area was closed during our visit, but we were there during off-peak time and it was very nice how quiet it was. Great job on the new attraction! Looking forward to another visit one day!
