I would say that this is the best restaurant in the Lower Mainland! When we came here I was excited (as usual) and hungry. I couldn't wait to eat. We had to wait around 2 hours for us to seat us. We came here at 6:00pm. When we got seated, we ordered the drinks, and that didn't take long. The waiter was nice. She asked if we wanted refills and took care of us. We had breadsticks, soup, and salad to start us off. The food came after our second fill on salad. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo. I ate it all. The problem is that the restaurant was a little cold, I had to wear a jacket! It might be because we were seated in front of the doors. The other problem is that my food looked a little smaller than my Dad's, and we ordered the same thing. The Kid's food even looked bigger! You guys should keep this in mind, because you guys are the only OG here.
Was there earlier today to eat lunch with my sister and daughter. They wantedbto seat us in a spot we did not like. The restaurant had a lot of seating available and we saw a booth where we asked to be seated. I am handicapped and using a cane to walk and it would be more comfortable for me to sit there. They said the booth was not available because no server was assigned there. When we were looking an alternative place to sit, they brought another group to sit in the booth (that was not supposed to be available). I talked to the reception desk but she did not seem to care. We decided to go somewhere else. My family liked going to Olive Garden. The food is good (not great) and the service also usually good. But today we felt that we were not treated right. Bad experience.
For the unlimited dinner special, it's actually CAD 11.99. If you want to add toppings there are additional charges. So it's not the same price on their website. But still an excellent meal and service. recommended!
We used to love going to Olive Garden but after several disappointments we have given up. It's generally fine but they were using microwaves to reheat their vegetables which made them soggy. Unlimited soup, salad, and bread is only unlimited when they offer it to you if you can get their attention. It's busy here. As the only location in the lower mainland, it gets lined up quickly. So go early and be patient. I do miss their Caesars!
The service is quite good considering I didn’t see anyone older than 19/20. The atmosphere is lively and enjoyable. The food however, not so fabulous. This place used to have quality reliable food but now, it’s nothing more than a quick flavourless menu with more items fried or reheated than made with any skill or passion.
Still, it’s fairly decently priced and the food is palatable.
Visited Olive Garden on Monday night. Restaurant is very nice and cleaned and i would say well managed.
We have been served by a your lady name Hanna. She was very nice and caring. One of the best waitress I have ever experienced. Management should thank her for great job she is doing. My only small complain is that food is a little too salty. May not be great for health.
Food is good. The staff are friendly and always helpful. This is also a great place to go with a baby as they have a car seat holder that can be brought to the table.
Service is good, however, the portions seem to shrink each time I go. They hardly fill half a bowl of soup, even though it is "endless" you would be lucky to get 2 half bowl. The food is decent but they are getting stingy on the breadsticks, often offering as few as one per person and slow on refilling when requested. Good if you need a fill of pasta but expect to have to speak up for all refills.
Great food super tasty absolutely great service.
The only setback was the portion gone done from the entree over the years. But the complimentary wine plus the unlimited soup and salad makes up for it plenty.
Thank you Maxine you were an excellent host!
Will be back!
The only reason for not giving it 5 stars was the hour long wait and the very expensive alcohol drink. The drink was really good, just not $10 good. Everything else was amazing. Our server was the best and so was the food. No long waits on the food either(once we got our table). We will be going back for sure. 😊
What a surprisingly nice place. For lunch, we sat beside the fireplace, on this snowy day. Gave introductory wine samples. "Wonderful Food" "Great Experience". High ceilings, with a grand feeling. I am not sure why we hadn't been to an Olive Garden for years..We will definitely be back. Thank you.
You will not get fancy, authentic Italian cuisine at this place. However you will enter a very cozy and family friendly environment. Good kids meals and entertainment. This place get really busy, but there are lots of place around to kill time at. Unlimited soup/salad and breadsticks are a win! Recommend for families, not so much for dates.
We tried the Olive Garden tonight. Fairly busy with a 15 minute wait. Host was pleasant, waitress was good and food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered Spaghetti with meat sauce. Meat sauce was very tasty. Lots of meat. Salad was very good. We also had a cheese cake covered with chocolate sauce and mint flavored chips of chocolate. It was good too! The Olive Garden is a great casual dining restaurant. Only issue is the location is generally extremely busy. Might be good to call ahead if you plan on eating during peak times. This is a positive because you know the restaurant is a good place to eat.
Had dinner here tonight (wednesday). No queues to be seated, I guess we just got there at the right time! Our waiter Nico P was AWESOME! Friendly, helpful and on the ball. Our food was delicious and brought out quickly. Always love the salad and bread sticks. We are so happy there is an Olive Garden in BC. It might be a 40 minute drive to get there.but it's definitely worth it!
After the hour-long wait, I expected to eat food that hadn't been microwaved. I'm not sure that happened. Only one in my party of 4 was satisfied with their entree. Nothing was piping hot, and I definitely could have easily made better at home. No longer do they serve fresh pasta, either. It was the most disappointing restaurant visit I've had in a very long time.
