Most of the stuff in this store is off brand cheap junk though there are a few decent name brand items as well. Slava, the somewhat pushy manager claims that he will warranty any Jet tools regardless of where it was purchased, including the $5/each fire damaged wrenches he sold me. If this is actually the case, I have found myself a decent Jet dealer. Other things this place is good for include certain new old stock brand name items like Fuller screwdrivers made before production was moved to China though some NOS items are way overpriced. An example would be those IRWIN rebranded NWS pliers I saw there one time which cost more than the NWS ones at Lee Valley. Overall Midlands is a fun place to go to a for tools. You never know what stuff they are trying to get rid of.
These guys rock. They're super friendly, super helpful, amazing prices. Highly recommend their canopies, they're modular (so you can expand them and so you can replace any part). Go in with a budget, they have so much cool stuff, if you don't, you'll buy the store :-).
Bought a set of flare wrenches from Midland, the 10mm wrench broke trying to take off a brake line. Emailed Midland explaining what had happened. Was able to come in the same day and exchange/refund the wrench set. Very accommodating staff and the manager was great!
Thank You!
Always friendly always great prices. Incredible selection.
Been going to Midland since before the old location burned down. Kept my business running top notch with quality items..just wished they were open Sundays..but still a super solid 5/5
Always helpful, friendly and cry a great assortment of tools and gear etc. at decent prices.
NOT OPEN DEC 26 2016. Great variety with friendly staff and very reasonably priced.
A great hardware store stocking a wide variety of tools, tarps, clothing, ladders, etc. The best part is the wonderful (really wonderful) people who run this business. Ken and Linda support worthy causes with the proceeds of their business. Theirs is an awesome example of a great business that is also doing good in the world. Always my first choice for tools and supplies - there's always a sense of welcome and family-first priorities. Great people doing great work and helping the world at the same time. Who could ask for more?
Usually I drop by on the way home if I get off work early. They sell low quality tools that you can use in a pinch. However this place has bargains galore. They clear out stuff for cheap if they don't want it on the shelves. You need to know what your looking for to get these bargains.
Like all the other reviews state. Friendly service and always seem to have what I need at very affordable prices. Great place to support.
I always go to Midland first for any project be it landscaping, tarps, construction, painting, roofing, safty supplies etc. they usually have the most important supplies and tools I need which do the job well for us and are a fraction of the cost of what I would pay at Home Depot or Rona or other stores. The business is run by truly good people - Ken and Linda and their very helpful staff. If you don't know about Midland you are probably paying too much for tarps, tools, supplies, and safety gear, work wear etc.
